Rhino Speed-Star 450 Series model Truck or Track
Mounted Drilling Rig is a powerful and versatile
Drill Rig that can be utilised for Waterwell and
Geotechnical exploration applications. This Rig is
robust in design to create a reliable machine that can
cope with the tough conditions and comes with the
following specifications:
Capacity
• DTH 450m using 3 1/2” Rods and 5” Hammer Bit.
• RC 150m using 4” Rods
• BQ (60mm) – 1000m
• NQ (75mm) – 900m
• HQ (96mm) – 600m
• PQ (122mm) – 300m
• Rotary Mud – 300m
Rig Carrier
Truck: The standard Rhino Speed-Star is designed
to suit an 8 x 4 or 6 x 4 long wheel base Truck with
24 Ton GVM bogie drive.
Track: Rhino Speed-Star also comes as a Tracked
Crawler Unit on a 20 Ton Undercarriage.
Engine
Cummins 6BTA 5.9 litre turbo charged diesel engine
180Hp @ 2200 rpm with Funk type gearbox and
silenced enclosure.
Mast
Length of mast approximately 9m long with a minimum
of 7.5m head travel suitable for use with 6m rods.
Mast to have a 2m dump to ground
– 45º to 90º angle drilling.
