Meet Elliot Cox
Background:



Elliot is an 8 year-old 3rd grader who lives in
Indianapolis, IN.
His parents are Travis and Amanda Cox.
He has a younger sister, Isabel.
On the Track:








Elliot started racing, and winning, at the age of 5!
Elliot won his first season points championship at
the age of 7.
Elliot moved up to racing cadet karts at the age of 7.
Elliot’s 2014 goal was to win 20 feature races, and he finished the season with 22 wins!
Elliot set the pole and won his second race ever in Yamaha Rookie at the age of 7. He went on to
win 5 strait Rookie races before moving up a year early to the KRA Sportsman class.
Elliot has 29 feature race victories.
Elliot was the youngest Rookie of the Year to date at Whiteland Raceway Park. This track is
America’s oldest kart track, est. 1958.
Elliot is dedicated to racing and takes it very seriously. He is determined to be the youngest
winner of the Indy 500.
Off the Track:


Elliot is a straight-A Honor Roll student at Gray Road
Christian School.
Over the last three seasons, Elliot has raised approximately
$3,000 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand to help find a cure for
childhood cancer. In 2014 Elliot hosted a Lemonade Stand at
the Graham Rahal Drivers Golf Tournament at the Brickyard
Crossing golf course. RTV6 also ran a special news story
covering Elliot in his quest to help kids with cancer. Elliot
has Alex’s Lemonade Stand stickers on both his kart and trailer.
 Elliot races to raise awareness for kids with Dyslexia just
like him. In 2015 Elliot participated in a Dyslexia awareness
campaign with IndyCar Driver, Justin Wilson, around the
message “Dyslexia Doesn’t Stop Me.” Elliot will race in 2016
in Justin’s memory and will continue Justin’s mission of
helping others with Dyslexia. Elliot has Dyslexia Institute of
Indiana stickers on both his kart and trailer.
