Handel: Messiah, HWV 56 Symphony in C teams up with the Greater South Jersey Chorus for George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, one of the best-known choral works in Western music. First performed on April 13, 1742 in Dublin, Messiah aroused unqualified rapture. Its success has remained undiminished ever since.
