About the STAUB group
Staub is the reference brand used by top chefs all over the world,
including Paul Bocuse. They use our products both for cooking
and at the table - a real guarantee of a quality range.
We strive for perfection and have designed cutting-edge products
which combine technology, tradition and modernity. This is how
Staub has become a reference brand in France and all over the
world.
We are a family company based in Alsace and established
by Francis Staub. All of our enamelled cast iron products are
manufactured in France at three production sites comprising a
foundry, two enamelling plants and a stoneware factory.
Present and distributed in 50 countries, in Europe, Japan, Australia,
China and also in the USA through our California subsidiary.

Our contrasting colours
Our “contrasting” colouring, now available in grey, is the result of a
procedure of successive applications of layers of enamel fired at a variable
temperature. “Contrasting enamels” enhance the curves and the material
of the product thanks to their grade and coating.
Majolica
Majolic enamel results from an artisanal procedure of application, using
an opaque white background, firing at 800°. It gives the product its lustre
and shine. Majolic enamel is more fluid and transparent than a traditional
enamel. Variations in coating or appearance are not indications of poor
quality, as the majolic technique causes slight differences to coating, punts,
roughness and leakage of the enamel. That’s why each piece is unique.
Metallic - new
For the first time, we have successfully developed cast iron cocottes with
a very modern and high quality metallic finish. The grey Titanium color is
exclusive to Staub! The combination of the colour of the Titanium, used in
the most demanding industries, with the qualities of the cast iron which can
be used on all heat sources allowing for healthy and tasty cooking, makes
for an exceptional product.
The grey Titanium is a real hallmark of the perfection sought by Monsieur
Staub who designs cutting edge products which combine tradition and
innovation.

This is the first manual process after casting.
All imperfections are removed with a grinder
in order to prepare the part for shot blasting.
This is one of the hardest and most physical
processes in the foundry, but it is essential to
have beautiful parts.
