The Gryphon is a composite creature, made up of the Eagle (the King of the Sky) and the Lion
(the King of Beasts). Gryphons appear in the mythology of many ancient cultures, as well as
being a popular charge in European heraldry. Often, the gryphon is a symbol of strength and
pride. One legend tells us that Alexander the Great once tried to ride to the edge of the sky on the
backs of gryphons.
A silver chain is included with all pendant purchases.
Gargoyle Pendant. Carry your good
luck with you! Just over 3/4” tall.

Gargoyle Pen Holder- Since medieval times, gargoyles have leered
down from the rooftops of the great cathedrals. Their faces are sometimes fierce, sometimes comical, but these stone demons were never
simply decorative. In fact, gargoyles served a dual purpose. Channels
were cut into the stone, providing a spout for rain to drain through.
Frequently, the gargoyles were carved so that the rain drained from
their open mouths. The words “gargle” and “gurgle” both derive from
the same roots as the word “gargoyle”. The gargoyles second function
was to drive away evil spirits with their hideous visages, protecting
the building and all who entered therein.
This gargoyle fiercely guards your writing implements from all misfortunes. Stands 6” high by 4 1⁄4” wide.

relief. The Gryphon is the mythological guardian of treasures, and a symbol of good luck in matters of fortune and wealth. Measures 10 3⁄4” by 5 1⁄2”.

The Kinsale Cloak Pattern. This billowing full-length cloak was a
tradition in rural Ireland and can still be seen today in West County
Cork. The romantic garment fastens at the neck and features a
detachable loosely-fitted hood. Pattern includes fascinating historical
lore, notes for handweavers, and instructions for finishing touches.
One size for men and women (finished length from center back
neckline to hemline is 55”).

three-piece outfit in two lengths flatters any maiden. Variations include

4-Panel Cape, a full-size pattern for an approximately
half-circle cape with hood and four different collars.
The pattern is printed on two 36” by 48” blue-printed
sheets. Also included is a new draft of Randwulf’s
Yoked Cloak and a 17 page instruction manual with
directions for building the 4-panel cape with or without
the pattern, adding a circular capelet, building a onepanel half-circle cape with darted shoulders, and building a medieval cowl.

Maltese Cross Pendant. During the Crusades, the Knights of St. John (also known as the
Hospitallers) wore this cross on their surcoats. In modern times, it has become a symbol of firefighters’ courage and sacrifice. Pendant and bail measure approx. 1” tall.
Lots of Knots! The name says it all. There’s even knotwork on the bail that it hangs from. The
arms of the cross are 1 1⁄8” across.
Large Celtic Cross Pendant. Simple but powerful. Measures 2 1⁄2” tall, with bail.
Smaller Celtic Cross Pendant. Identical to the larger cross except for size Measures 1 7⁄8” tall.
Vampire Cross Pendant. The Ankh was the Egyptian symbol for Life. Recently, it has been used
by many vampire groups and vampire related games. Measures 1 3⁄4” tall.
Celtic Spirals Cloak Clasp. Each half is 1” in diameter, and
slightly domed, making this clasp strong yet light weight. An excellent choice for lighter weight fabrics. The spirals are typical of the
la Tene period of Celtic art. When closed, the clasp is 2 1/2” across,
inluding the eyelets.

Pewter Thistle Buttons. Legends tell how Viking invaders were stopped by
the lowly thistle. One of the invaders stepped on a thistle in the dark. His cries
of pain allerted the Scots to the threat, and thus the thistle became the national

Like most traditional symbols, the origin of the Claddagh has been obscured by the passage of
time. It is almost certainly from the Irish fishing village of Claddagh, near Galway. Some stories
say that a Claddagh ring was found on the hand of a sailor of a Spanish galleon that went down
near the Irish coast. Others say the design was brought back from the Crusades by a young man
captured by the Saracens. Whatever its history, the Claddagh has become an enduring symbol of
affection. The heart in the center of the design represents love, the hands that surround it represent
friendship, and the crown at the top (if present) is symbolic of fidelity.
