AVAILABILITY JANUARY - MAY ENJOY THE INTOXICATING AROMA OF FRAGRANT HYACINTH The quintessence of spring! HYACINTH Our experienced growers use the latest growing techniques and carefully select the best Hyacinth bulbs available—those most suitable for cut flowers—which we import from Holland. We work to achieve the fullest, most impressive blooms possible. FARM FRESH: The Hyacinth consists of a myriad of tiny flowers adorning each stem, ranging from 25-70 per stem, depending on the variety. The amount of florets is influenced by the size of the bulbs, the nutrients that were available to the bulb in the fields in Holland the year before, as well as temperature treatments given after digging up the bulbs, etc. To ensure our Hyacinths achieve the required length we maintain a “perfect” climate for Hyacinths from the moment we plant them, store them in our coolers, and grow them in our state of the art greenhouses. The minimum length for high quality Hyacinth flowers should be 12", but we aim to maintain 14” to 16". BUNCHES: Standard bunch size: 5 stems. Also available as Consumer Bunches. ADDITIONAL OPTIONS: ■ Mixed Hyacinth-Tulip Bunches ■ Hyacinth-on-the-Bulb CARE & HANDLING: DO NOT cut stems. The white area on the bottom of the stem is actually part of the bulb that has been cored (yes, like an apple). The very bottom “basal plate” of this area allows the flowers to drink water, and should be retained. Place in a clean vase filled with water and floral food. Keep in a cool location out of direct sunlight and drafts. Refresh water as needed.
