This plan also helps the project owner map its progress toward achieving continual improvements. In Malaysia, EMP is usually required to be prepared prior to commencement of a project and to be revised from time to time throughout the project life. Environmental Audits are reviews of an organization’s operations and processes for the purpose of assessing compliance with environmental rules and regulations. They can range from legally mandated reviews of plant safety or emissions to voluntary inspections of environmental practices. In Malaysia, environmental audits are perhaps best known as a means of examining the effectiveness of the EIA recommendations for a given project and adherence to permissible limits and standards As part of Environmental Audit, Post EIA Compliance Monitoring is carried out to allow for an organized assessment of relevant environmental parameters which is then translated into environmental performance. The reports generated allow for informed and efficient decision-making on the part of project proponents and the regulatory authorities. Working hands in hands with highly trained field personnel for environmental monitoring, ERALab’s provides an efficient and comprehensive consultancy in EMP, Environmental audits and Post-EIA Compliance Assessment. Selected Relevant Experience: EMP, Post EIA Compliance, Env. audit for Petronas Gas Berhad Kuantan Compressor Station Expansion Project for SE-TMSB (2007-2009) EMP, Post EIA Compliance, Env. audit for Petronas Gas Berhad Segamat Compressor Station Expansion Project at SE-TMSB (2007-2009) EMP, Post EIA Compliance EIA and Env. The assessment is performed in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM 2005) Standard Practice E 1527-05 for Phase-I ESA. In the event no contamination is detected, the site is to be certified environmentally clean, posing no risk for its intended use. However, if the site is contaminated, a clear Scope of Works for a Phase II ESA is to be defined. Selected Relevant Experience: Site Assessment at Ex-Dumping Site, Sg. Kancis, Kelang, Selangor.
