A4246976 Marlene is a well-behaved, calm two year
old black and fawn female German Shepherd/
Rottweiler mix who was forsaken at the Baldwin Park
Animal Care Center on December 4th after her former
owner moved and made no provision for his dog.
Weighing forty-seven pounds, Marlene walks well on
leash and didn’t bark the entire time we had her out.
She is a sweet girl who wants to play with people and
other dogs, and we think she is an excellent match for
older children. She is also quite cuddly and thinks she
is a lap dog. Marlene will be a spectacular indoor pet
for an individual or family living in a private home.

Park Animal Care Center. Weighing eight pounds,
Mika is a lapdog who wants to be carried and
snuggled. She is fine with small dogs but frightened of
big dogs, and we think she will be fine with children
over the age of twelve. Mika is a calm lapdog who was
born to be pampered, and she will be a sensational
indoor pet for an adult household in an apartment or

dogs with her same energy level and we think she
would adore children, she should not be around cats.

ball and she thinks she is a lapdog. Maya will be the

A4519720 Jolene is a timid one year old white and
black spayed female Chihuahua puppy who was found
in South El Monte on December 5th and brought to the
Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. Weighing eight
pounds, this sweetheart doesn’t have any leash skills

shy in the shelter environment and would prefer to be
invisible as she just is overwhelmed. However once
you get her out of her kennel into a calm place she
becomes the perfect lapdog and you can see she has
the classic Chihuahua personality - of wanting to have
one person to love and bond with. Jolene will make an

brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center.
Weighing seven and one half pounds, it appears that
she has a bruised or injured pelvis so she should be
examined by a vet. Weighing eight pounds, Charity is
timid and finds reassurance in being held and cuddled;
she seems to have been an indoor dog and it would

A4523613 Gandolf is a good-natured three year old
white male Pit Bull who was found in the mud in
Altadena tied to a tree by a four foot chain around his
neck. He had no water and, according to the Officer
who found him, had been probably tied to the tree for
months, and was surviving on food tossed over the
fence by neighbors. Weighing fifty-five pounds this
super playful, energetic dog, walks okay on leash and
knows how to sit on command. Gandolf has passed
his shelter given temperament test. He loves adults and we think he will do great with older children, but if
he is put into a home with other dogs he will need to
be fed separately as due to his recent ordeal, he will
not share his food. Gandolf is an optimistic, bouncy

be a senior to be a companion to. Opal has a very
large tumor on her abdomen that should be treated by

Domestic Shorthair kitten who was brought as an
unweened kitten to the Baldwin Park Animal Care

bottle-fed with Inky (A4480310) by one of our

litter, but when you pick her up she is quite friendly.
She likes other cats, especially Inky, and is quite
content to curl up in your lap and sleep. Patches will
make an excellent pet for an adult family or a family
with calm children.
