The scheme ¹ The 8 Rhône-Alpes clusters: Aerospace, Automotive Cluster, Organics, Eco-Energies (Green energy cluster), Edit (Software publishing cluster), CIM (Mountain Industries Cluster), Sporaltec and Imaginove. The 14 Scientific Clusters: 1 - Microelectronics, nano-sciences and nanotechnologies; 2 - Computing, signals, on-board programs; 3 - Controlling the life of materials and structures; 4 - Management and organisation of production systems and innovation; 5 - Sustainable chemistry and chemistry for health; 6 - Environment; 7 - Renewable energies, energy efficiency; 8 - Transport, territories and society; 9 - Quality of plants, agriculture, players and territories; 10 - Infectious diseases, Immunology; 11 - Disability, Ageing, Neurosciences; 12 - Social and territorial dynamics; 13 - Culture, heritage and creation; 14 - Issues and perceptions of science, technology and their applications. ² The 15 Rhône-Alpes centres of competitiveness: Lyon Biopole, Minalogic, Axelera, Lyon Urban Bus & Trucks 2015, Imaginove, Techtera, Plastipolis, PASS (Fragrances, Flavours, Scents and Tastes), Arve Industrie, Sporaltec, Tenerrdis, Viaméca, Trimatec, European Fruit and vegetable, Meat and meat product centre. “Hosting international experts in Rhône-Alpes” allows international experts to be hosted in clusters and centres of competitiveness in Rhône-Alpes thus promoting cross-fertilisation between sectors and developing technology and business networking. The scheme also promotes the development of networking between clusters and knowledge of the Rhône-Alpes centres of excellence internationally. Target audience The scheme is aimed at international experts, heads of networks, business men and women, cluster managers, specialists, developers, etc. They should be from a region partnering the Rhône-Alpes Region¹ (or from the country where the partnership is based), from a country where an ERAI² office (Entreprises Rhône-Alpes International) is based and/or from a partnership area of a center of excellence. ¹ Working with the Rhône-Alpes Region: Piedmont, Aosta Valley, Lombardy and Liguria (Italy); Canton of Geneva (Switzerland); Baden-Wurttemberg (Germany), Catalonia (Spain), Malopolska (Poland), South Transdanubia (Hungary), Shanghai (China), State of Karnataka (India), State of Pennsylvania (United States), State of Paraná (Brazil), Quebec (Canada). ² ERAI offices: Canada (Montreal), USA (Atlanta, Philadelphia), Germany (Stuttgart), Spain (Barcelona), Italy (Turin), Poland (Krakow), India (New Delhi, Bangalore), China (Shanghai), Japan (Tokyo), Brazil (Curitiba), Turkey (Istanbul), United Arab Emirates (Dubai). Opening in 2008: China (Shenzhen), Mexico, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Vietnam, Singapore. Support proposed The international expert’s travel from his or her country of origin, accommodation, subsistence and transport costs in Rhône-Alpes will be paid for up to a maximum of 2,850 euros. Length of stay International experts will be hosted for a period of 3 to 10 days depending on the project.
