[Chamber of Secrets Ultimate Edition Special Features screenshot] Along with several other actors, Warwick Davis can lay claim to having appeared in all eight Harry Potter movies. However, whereas each of those other actors played only ONE character in all the movies, Warwick has the unique distinction of having played a total of five characters throughout all the Harry Potter films. Warwick’s very first Harry Potter appearance was as a Gringotts Goblin Bank Teller in Sorcerer’s Stone. Also in Sorcerer’s Stone, as well as in Chamber of Secrets, Warwick played the character of Professor Filius Flitwick: the kindly and loveable—bearded and incredibly old—Hogwarts’ Charms Instructor. [Sorcerer’s Stone screenshot (enhanced)] [Chamber of Secrets screenshot (enhanced)] Warwick Davis played a new character in Prisoner of Azkaban: the Choir Director, a role credited only as “Wizard.” [Prisoner of Azkaban screenshot (enhanced)] Harry Potter Places Book One: Warwick Davis Revelio Supplementum

Then, in Goblet of Fire, something quite interesting happened. Professor Flitwick grew younger in appearance. In fact, in GOF, Professor Flitwick looked just like the POA Choir Director, especially when directing the Yule Ball orchestra, while acting as MC for the rock band, and while … crowd surfing! When Order of the Phoenix was released, there no longer was any doubt that the Professor Flitwick and Choir Director characters had been magically merged into one person. [Order of the Phoenix screenshots (enhanced), above and below.] Furthermore, Warwick Davis appeared as another character in OOTP: a Ministry of Magic Goblin Employee. In case you haven’t been counting, this uncredited Goblin is Warwick’s 4th character. Warwick’s sixth portrayal of Professor Flitwick occurred in the sixth Harry Potter movie: Half‐Blood Prince. Professor Flitwick did not appear in Deathly Hallows Part One! Granted, no Hogwarts Castle scenes are seen in DHp1. But, we are astonished (and rather appalled) that Professor Flitwick was apparently left off of the guest list for Bill and Fleur’s wedding. Happily, while Professor Flitwick was missing from DHp1, Warwick Davis was not. In both Deathly Hallows movies Warwick played the character of Griphook, the Gringotts’ Goblin who escorted Harry and Hagrid to the vaults in Sorcerer’s Stone. [Deathly Hallows Part 1 screenshot (enhanced)] But, wait a minute! Warwick played a Goblin Bank Teller in Sorcerer’s Stone—not Griphook. The actor who performed as Griphook in Sorcerer’s Stone was Vern Troyer—best recognized as the character of Mini‐Me from the Austin Powers movies. [Sorcerer’s Stone screenshot (enhanced)] However, it wasn’t Vern’s voice heard in Sorcerer’s Stone. Apparently, director Chris Columbus wanted a lower‐pitched voice for the briefly seen Griphook character. So, he had Warwick Davis perform Griphook’s voice in the first film. Considering this fact, some might total Warwick’s final count at five and one‐half Harry Potter movie characters! We suspect that the decision to recast the character of Griphook for Deathly Hallows was based on height. Although Vern Troyer is an accomplished actor, he’s only 2ʹ 8ʺ tall. While that wasn’t a problem when Griphook was a “cameo” role, the importance of Griphook’s character in Deathly Hallows (an importance unknown when Sorcerer’s Stone was shot in 2000), requires … well, a greater physical stature. And, Warwick Davis—who is 3ʹ 6ʺ tall—was perfect for the role. Warwick’s Griphook is seen in the end of Deathly Hallows Part One, as well as in the beginning of Deathly Hallows Part Two. True to his school, Warwick’s Professor Flitwick character reappears in Deathly Hallows Part Two, and bravely plays a major role in the castle’s defense during the Battle of Hogwarts. [Deathly Hallows Part 2 screenshot (enhanced)] Family Matters
In Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, and Deathly Hallows Part One, the character of Alastor “Mad‐
Eye” Moody was performed by the incredibly talented British actor, Brendan Gleeson. Brendan’s son, Domhnall Gleeson, was cast in the role of Bill Weasley and appeared in both Deathly Hallows movies. Oddly enough, in Chapter Five of Deathly Hallows, as well as in the DHp1 movie, Bill Weasley was the person who bore the news that Mad‐Eye had been killed. Thus, Brendan’s son had the task of telling the other Order members that his father was dead. We include this bit of Gleeson family trivia only to demonstrate that at least one other actor shares the distinction of having a close relative who also appeared in a Harry Potter movie. Once again, however, Warwick Davis can claim a far greater number of Potter film family connections. Warwick’s wife, and both their children, appeared in Deathly Hallows Part Two! Of course, it’s possible that his entire family being cast in DHp2 was largely due to Warwick’s off‐
screen business. With the assistance of his partner, Peter Burroughs, Warwick runs a Casting Agency that represents Actors under 5 feet tall. When Harry Potter director David Yates realized that he needed 60 little people to play Gringotts Goblins in DHP2, he immediately went to Warwick. http://willowmanagement.co.uk/
“We started this business because we wanted to change the way that short people were represented in
films and on television—to make people see that we were individual actors, not just a collection of ‘dwarfs.’
And since 1995 we’ve done exactly that.”
Warwick’s wife, Samantha Davis, played an uncredited DHP2 male Gringotts Goblin Bank Teller. Please Note: NO Female Gringotts Goblins are ever seen on screen. But, there are plenty of female little people who performed as male Gringotts Goblins, beneath layers of sculpted latex face masks. Harry Potter Places Book One: Warwick Davis Revelio Supplementum

Samantha’s Goblin was particularly attractive—don’t you think? Warwick and Samantha’s two children played a couple of tiny Goblins pulling a trolley of gold across the central area of Gringotts Bank in DHp2. Harry Potter Places Book One: Warwick Davis Revelio Supplementum
