1.0 General Information
The Samson K-Rail Model 2 handrail replaces most Krinkov AK-47 standard handguards. Its two piece design clamps to
the barrel trunnion area. Upper rail contains a clearance slot for use of iron sight and includes four 1913 mil spec rails for
mounting popular lights and accessories. Lower rail cut out to accommodate underfolder stock. Assembled rail contains
side clearance for side folding stock. Common attachments include Samson® Vertical Grip or Grip Pod, WeaponLights®
and other accessories.

2.0 Installation
2.1 Remove Existing Handguards
Remove existing handrails as per manufacturer
instruction.
2.2 Install Clamps
Place two clamps (item 4) around barrel trunnion area of
weapon as shown. Insert clamp screw (item 6) through
clamps. Leave clamp screw loose to accommodate
insertion of rails and final rail assembly placement.

2.3 Install Lower Rail
Align lower rail (item 2) screw holes and clamp/rail
opening with clamp screw holes and clamp screw. Slide
lower rail onto clamps.
2.4 Install Clamp / Rail Clamp Screws
Insert and tighten four clamp / rail screws (item 3, two
each side).
2.5 Install Upper Rail
Push upper rail (item 1) down onto lower rail through six
rail slots (three each side). Slide upper rail back to lock
upper rail tabs into lower rail. Loosen clamp screws and
clamp / rail screws as required to accommodate
installation of upper rail.

2.6 Install Rail Screws
Install two rail screws (item 5) through lower rail to
connect lower and upper rails. Leave rails screws loose
until final positioning of assembled rail.
2.7 Install Set Screws
Install two setscrews (item 7, one each side) until
making contact with barrel (do not tighten).
2.8 Align Assembled Rail
Adjust rotation of assembled rails with respect to
receiver and front sight by adjusting tightness of left and
right set screws so that assembled rail is aligned with
receiver and front sight.
After positioning assembled rail, tighten clamp screw
(item 6), four clamp/rail screws (item 3) and two rail
screws (item 5). After tightening all hardware, ensure
assembled rail does not rattle or move with respect to
weapon body.
