Tour of Old City Cemetery of Lynchburg
Once described as a “grave garden,” the cemetery
encompasses a diverse ecosystem, including an
arboretum of primarily 19th-century plantings
of over 200 varieties of antique roses. The tour
will include a number of museums located within
the cemetery, such as the Pest House Medical
Museum, the Hearse House and Cemetery
Caretaker’s Museum, and the Station House.

with Elizabeth (Betsy) Muhly Wetzig ’66,
dancer, author, choreographer, and body-use expert.
Come move with movement researcher, educator,
dancer and author Betsy Wetzig. She is the originator
and director of Coordination Patterns™ Training
and co-developed Psyche-Soma Dynamics and Full
Potential Learning, which she has spread nationally
and internationally working with a number of groups
including: leadership training with Empowered
LLC, and Focus Leadership LLC plus InterPlay®,
Canadian, UK, & US, Pilates specialists, Tragger®,
BrainDance, and Movement Educators.

Important Information for Reunion Weekend
ALUMNAE AND ALUMNI REUNION WEEKEND
REGISTRATION ONLINE!
Simply go to www.randolphcollege.edu/alumnaereunion to register.
REGISTRATION WELCOME CENTER (Extension x4267)
The registration/information desk will be open in Main Hall during the
weekend. Please come to Main Hall to pick up your registration packet,
key, meal tickets, and schedule. A message board will be available next to
the switchboard, so you will be able to leave notes for friends. Late arrivals
should check in with the switchboard in Main Hall.

SPOUSES/FRIENDS WELCOME
Spouses and traveling companions are welcome and encouraged to
attend all Reunion activities. Couples will be housed together. Mark the
reservation form for “2” if your spouse or friend is accompanying you, and
figure your costs accordingly. If your spouse/friend is rooming with you,
list this person as your roommate choice. Housing is arranged May 1 so if
you wish to be housed with your class, you must register early.
ADMISSIONS OFFICE
The Admissions Office will be open Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m.–
5:00 p.m. Alumnae and alumni who have children, relatives, or friends
interested in Randolph College are invited to talk with a member of the
staff. Admissions materials will be available in Main Hall Lobby.
AIR TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION
American Airlines flies into Lynchburg. Allied Cab provides service to and
from the airport and you may contact them 24/7 at 434-845-7039. The
cost is approximately $20 one way for one passenger.
Airport to Campus: College van service will be provided from the airport to the
College on Thursday and Friday at designated times. After registration forms
have been received, a van schedule will be determined, and you will be notified.
Campus to Airport: The College van will transport alumnae and alumni to
the airport on Sunday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. To use the College
van service, please indicate your departure time on your registration form.
The Blue Angels will be performing in Lynchburg on Saturday and Sunday. Our
Sunday shuttles to the airport will leave two hours prior to flight time.
Train Information: Passenger train service is available to Lynchburg. Please
check Amtrak schedules at www.amtrak.com.
CAMPUS HOUSING
Returning alumnae and alumni are housed in residence halls during
the weekend. Reunion classes are assigned rooms together in a block
of housing. Housing will be provided in Bell, Wright, and West Halls and
these residence halls have elevators and are air-conditioned. There are
no private bathrooms in any of our residence halls. Furnishings for each
guest include bed linens, pillows, towels (linen service variety), tissues, and
soap. For your personal comfort, you may want to bring a small bedside
lamp, fan, clothes hangers, and a travel iron. We want your time in the
residence halls to enhance your weekend experience. In addition to listing
your roommate preference on your registration form, list the friends you
would like to have housed nearby. Be sure to check with your friend or
classmate to be sure they are coming before you list their name as your
roommate.
CHILDREN
Please note the names and ages of your children on the registration form.
We will follow up with you on costs and activities planned.
CLASS MEETINGS
Each Reunion class will meet Saturday morning and have an opportunity to
elect a new class secretary, class agent, and assistant class agent during your
class meeting. This is a great time to visit with your classmates!
CLASS PHOTOS
Commemorative class pictures will be taken during Reunion Weekend. Please
check the appropriate line on your registration form if you wish to receive a
class photo. Photos will be mailed after Reunion.
COLLEGE SHUTTLES
Vans are also available to take you to various locations on campus during
the weekend including the Maier Museum of Art at Randolph College.
COLD DRINKS AND HOSPITALITY
Refreshments will be available in Main Hall from Thursday from
1:00–5:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Complimentary refreshments include chips, pretzels, fruit, tea and water.
LUGGAGE CARRIERS
Young people are available to assist you with your luggage. Dial “0”or
extension x4267 if you need help with your bags, and please allow
sufficient time for a porter to reach you. Porters work for tips only.

The Library is open the following days and times:

MAIER MUSEUM OF ART AT RANDOLPH COLLEGE
The Museum is open the following days and times:
Thursday–Sunday 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Van service is available between Main Hall and the Museum except on
Sundays. Please check at the registration/information desk in Main Hall for
shuttle times.
MEALS
You will be given a meal ticket to present as you enter the dining area
so we can account for each meal. If you arrive on campus and decide
that you would like to change your package and enjoy additional meals,
please see someone at the Welcome Center in Main Hall Lobby during the
registration hours. You must pre-register by May 5 for Friday lunch at
the President’s House and Saturday dinner for ’66.
PARKING
Upon arrival, come to Main Hall to register. Information about parking on
campus will be available at the Welcome Center. Most of the parking is in
the Bell parking lot. Please make an effort to park in campus parking lots.
RECREATION
Golf
Check the registration desk for a list of public courses.
Tennis
Courts are open throughout the weekend. Bring your equipment. A
partner sign-up sheet is posted at the Welcome Center in Main Hall.
REFUND POLICY
In order to grant a refund, we must receive notice of cancellation no later
than May 5. Refunds will be mailed after Reunion Weekend.
ROOM KEYS
At the registration desk in Main Hall Lobby you will be asked to initial
a form indicating that you received your dorm key and also that you
returned your dorm key. For each lost key there will be a $25 charge, as
this is the amount the Office of Alumnae and Alumni is charged.
SMOKING
The College abides by the City of Lynchburg’s regulation on smoking,
which includes no smoking in public areas. We ask that you do not smoke
in your dorm rooms.
SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
If you require special assistance during Reunion Weekend, we will be
happy to help. Please contact The Office of Alumnae and Alumni at
434-947-8102 prior to your arrival.
TELEPHONES
There are hall telephones in each residence hall for campus calls and local
calls. Dial 7 for an outside line to place a local call. Long distance calls can
be placed with a calling card or a cell phone.

Throughout the weekend, designated class tents will be available for you
to meet and mingle. The following classes will be sharing a tent:

WRITERS, ARTISTS, AND ARTISANS
Alumnae and alumni writers, artists, and artisans are invited to exhibit
and/or sell some of your work on Saturday evening during Colors,
Collections, and Corks. Check the box on the registration form if you plan
to exhibit. Directions about exhibiting will be sent once we know your
intention. We will provide a table and covering. You must preregister to
exhibit by May 1.

We encourage all Reunion participants to stay on campus as it is less
expensive and provides more opportunities to spend time with all of your
classmates! For those who prefer to stay in a hotel, this link will take

The Blue Angels will be performing in Lynchburg during the weekend

Registration Information
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The registration deadline is May 5, 2016. There will be a late fee of $25 per
person assessed for anyone who registers after May 5.
For your convenience, Reunion pricing is set up in package form. You
simply pick the package that suits you and your family. You may also pick
a package and add the Package Plus options as needed. All alumnae and
alumni planning to attend Reunion may register in one of three ways—mail,
fax, or online. Reservations must be accompanied with full payment by May 5.
Online registration is recommended (see below).

You will receive confirmation of your reservations. The registration fee is
built into the package pricing and helps defray the costs associated with
extra staff, flowers, receptions, the hospitality area, printing and mailing,
registration materials, transportation to off-campus events and tours, and
other expenses of the weekend.
Residence halls will open Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and close Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Although 14 classes will be celebrating special reunions, all alumnae and
alumni are welcome to attend.
