A community-wide Shop Local scavenger hunt hosted by ABA-member bookstores with participation from dozens and dozens of merchants in their towns. In July 2014, Waldo spotters, young and old, are eligible for prizes throughout the month. The hunt culminates with a grand ceremony held at your store. What are the requirements for host bookstores? Participating bookstores agree to: • pre-register online by March 15, 2014 at indiebound.org/findwaldolocal • place a 40+ copy Waldo book supporting order by April 15, 2014 • dedicate a store window and/or in-store display to FWL during July 2014 • host a Waldo celebratory event at the end of July 2014 Questions? Contact Team FWL at [email protected] What’s new for 2014? New Character Waldo spotters will be searching for a new character in July 2014 — Woof, Waldo’s best friend and most loyal companion. Woof’s gone missing somewhere in your bookstore. Where can he be? Event Kit Enhancements Our FWL ’14 event kit will be more robust than ever, including a new mini standee, new prizes, and new activities for your Waldo-palooza parties. Plus, we’re bringing back the prize buttons! Flexibility The FWL $100 additional co-op pool can be used for ANY expenses related to FWL, including party supplies, copying costs, coupon redemptions, etc. The $1 off Waldo book coupons will have an expanded redemption period (the entire summer) and can be distributed to ALL participating Waldo seekers (not limited to first 100).
