In consultation with the engineers of Protec and an acoustic consulting firm such as Peutz, the certified sound
insulating overhead doors can be adjusted to any desired sound condition (dB) and the requested octave bands.
This makes it possible to develop and produce sound insulating doors that dampen extra high or low tones.
The sound insulating overhead doors of Protec have been
tested and certified as complete door construction; not only
the panels. There is also no limitation in use or application
area. Even the application of a Protec sound insulating
overhead door in the outer façade forms no problem.
The insulating overhead doors of Protec are applied,
among others, in:
cultural centres, wastewater treatment installations, test
areas, theaters, opera houses, pop stages, housings and
industries where sound plays an important role.
Fire-resistant and sound insulating
Protec Industrial Doors has succeeded to develop a fireresistant and also a sound insulating door. This special
door has been certified as complete door construction with
both properties! Due to this unique combination the application of double constructions has become redundant. This
has great advantages in the area of building in the door, the
ease of use, the purchase price and also the maintenance.
This design has been tested and certified by Efectis
(formerly TNO) and Peutz.
