Director’s Spotlight
Happy New Year from the 460 FSS! It's that time of year for New Year's Resolutions. Here in the FSS,
we have the tools to make them realistic and achievable. Whether it's getting in better shape with the
many programs and classes at our Fitness Center, choosing healthier options for lunch at our Panther
Den, or going back to school to obtain that degree and secure your future, we have the dedicated staff
in place to make these resolutions a reality.
This month's spotlight is on the on-base classes offered by the Education and Training Office."
Mr. Albert Woolley, Director
1.Why did Colorado Christian University choose to partner with Buckley Air Force Base?
Colorado Christian University's College of Adult and Graduate studies has had a long standing
relationship with Buckley AFB. We have had students take classes locally in the Denver Tech Center
and in Lakewood, as well as globally online. We wanted to increase our accessibility for students by
offering classes on base for active military service members and their families.
2.Why should students pick CCU?
Here at CCU we focus on
successful degree completion
for the active adult student.
Our classes are offered online or
on-base one night a week, and
classes are only 5 weeks long.
Our students also have an
advising team to assist with any
questions or concerns they may
have as a student. Our general
education classes offered on
base have complete CCAF
transferability and the school
is fully regionally accredited, so you can go on to complete your Bachelors or Masters degree at CCU
online or at one of our campuses. Come stop by our office in building 606 on Tuesday from 1200-1600
or Thursday from 0900-1400 for more information.
3.Why does CCU love our military students?
Since its foundation in 1914, Colorado Christian University has honored those who have served in
our armed forces. Our current president, Bill Armstrong served in the US National Guard, and the
Vice President of Student Success Roger Chandler is a veteran of the USAF. We desire to provide
resources for active military students and their families to make a great education accessible.
We already have existing long standing relationships with the military installations in Colorado Springs
and are excited for our relationship with Buckley AFB to grow.
