About
Beykent University
Beykent University was established as a not-forprofit organization by The Adem Çelik - Beykent
Education Foundation and began its educational
programs in the 1997 - 1998 academic year. Since
then Beykent University has grown its facilities
for teaching, learning and research on to three
separate campuses. Today it has 10 Faculties, 4
Higher Education Colleges, 2 Institutes, 3 Research
Centres, The Continuing Education & Career Centre
and the Distance Education Centre.

students, 900 of which are international. A
high quality learning experience is offered to
students with 72 Associate Degree Programmes,
69 Undergraduate Programmes and over 50
Postgraduate Programmes. The medium of
instruction of the courses at Beykent University are

realized that I made the right

Dean’s Office for Student Affairs
Student Clubs
The Dean’s Office for Student Affairs aims to create
a safe and lively environment for a quality life on the
campus.
There are many student clubs that carry out
activities in various branches in the university.
There is something for everyone. The Student
Clubs organize and the Student Council promotes
and encourages involvement in many exciting and
enriched scientific, artistic, cultural, social and
sports events. Each club has a faculty advisor and
every year new clubs are established according to
the new trends and the wishes of the students to
make their social lives more complete and fulfilled.
It is the administrative branch that provides
personal, cultural and social support to students,
aids in personal growth and professional
development and offers guidance and solutions for
individual as well as collective issues.
The Dean’s office also works to ensure that the
students know and benefit from the facilities
provided by the university, and that their individual
potentials are maximized. The Dean’s office brings
students and graduates together to celebrate their
differences and creates a global community where
students and graduates can indulge in the pride and
joy of being a part of Beykent life.

There are many fun activities organised through the Dean’s
Office for Student Affairs such as outdoor concerts,
theatrical events and sports activities.
Restaurant - Cafeteria
There are several cafes and restaurants in our 3 campuses,
offering a variety of services.
Sports
The University believes being active in sports is a
healthy way to complete a student’s life.
The sports events of the university are organized
under the Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports
Department. Sports premises are available on both
campuses for the students to benefit from in their
free time. There is a fully equipped gym available
on The Ayazağa-Maslak Campus and an indoor
gym, indoor swimming pool and a mini football
pitch on The Beylikdüzü Campus.
There are many teams such as basketball,
football, volleyball, karate, swimming, chess,
bowling and more in the university. Team
selections are done at the start of each
academic year in order to include the newly
enrolled students. These teams participate
in competitions organized by the University
Sports Federation and also at times by
private organizations. The students’ interests
in individual sports are considered and
arrangements are made for them to participate in
sports competitions.

As the Institute of Social Sciences, offers various Master and Ph.D. programs which aim to move the social
sciences from thinking about the greatest problems affecting human societies to understanding, analyzing
and solving them. The Institute tries to provide the precious knowledge base and inspiration for new policies
to address global challenges and to promote sustainability in the social and business world. The programs
offer many of different courses every semester and they are designed to meet the needs of the academic as

Institute of Science
Beykent University, the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, offers Master’s programmes in
mechanical, industrial, civil engineering, architecture, mathematics and computer sciences as well as
PhD programmes in architecture, computer engineering and applied mathematics. Applicants without a
postgraduate degree may also apply.
Master’s programmes with thesis aim at high quality research that will contribute to the field concerned.
Master’s programmes without thesis primarily aim at professional specialisation. As regards Master’s
programmes in design and interior architecture that do not require a dissertation, they mainly focus on
design strategies.

Admissions Requirements For International Students
1) To be a Non-Turkish citizen or a foreigner who has gained Turkish citizenship later,
2) or to be a Turkish citizens who has completed the last three years of secondary education in a foreign
country (other than Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus),
3) or to be a citizen of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who has a an A level in GCE.
All of the above mentioned students can apply during the final year of their secondary education or after
graduation.
TOMER Certificate is accepted for the programmes taught in Turkish.
The students are required to attend a one year compulsory language preparatory programme for the
programmes taught in English or they can apply with the following exam results to meet the English
language requirements.

• The residence permit, student ID and a tax ID are required to apply for the health insurance.
• A petition needs to be submitted to the social security provincial office/social security centre within three
months following the first registration,

Accommodation
The university offers high standard accommodations in The Ayazağa and The Beylikdüzü Hostels. Both
hostels are located right next to the campuses. Ayazağa-Maslak Campus and has a capacity of 242 people,
and fees range from USD 400 to USD 600. The Beylikdüzü Hostel has a capacity of 208 people and fees
range from USD 310 to USD 530 per month.
The rooms are equipped with bathrooms, refrigerators, televisions, phones, central heating system, 7/24 hot
water, free internet connection and 24 hour security. There are also common hang-out rooms such as a TV
room, a study room, a game room and laundry facilities.
