the society of tomorrow. He therefore visits schools and universities, but also follows
closely various social issues such as unemployment and the struggle against poverty
and exclusion.
Prince Philippe completed his academic training at Trinity College, University of Oxford

was created in 1992.

Company for Developing Countries).
On August 6, 1993, by Government decision, Prince Philippe was appointed Honorary

Software has become critical to almost every aspect of modern life, but the
construction of reliable software remains a very big challenge. This is the well
known “software crisis”. Mission Critical IT has pioneered a new form of
software development, ODASE™, where:
- Domain experts, with the help of knowledge engineers, build a
formal model of the Business problem – an ontology - using standard
semantic web languages;
-““Robots” automatically generate, from this ontology, the corresponding
program source code, which is then compiled into a high performing
and scalable application.
The tight integration of formal model and code delivers low cost, high flexibility,
excellent usability and swift time-to-market. Production time is further reduced
by round-the-clock development at Mission Critical’s two sites in Brussels
(Belgium) and Melbourne (Australia).

The main activity of OAD is to develop and commercialize a new software
dedicated to make the conceptual design of any aircraft from very light UAVs
to a light commuter aircraft like the Avanti Piaggio for example: the so-called
aircraft design software (ADS). ADS is the new standard for the conceptual
design of the modern generation of light aircraft. The know-how of OAD was
translated into ADS, a powerful software tool which is now on the market and
available for aircraft designers, amateur builders, universities and research
institutes.
ADS is the indispensable software package to design or to modify single and
twin engine aircraft in an efficient way. In addition, ADS can be used to:
understanding the design process of products in general; understanding more
specifically the design process of an aircraft; trying out new ideas or new
concepts; exploring all the flight conditions of an existing aircraft; studying the
impact of modifications on an existing aircraft.

What VQLTM really does is interfacing existing speech engines available from
the shelf to existing database content for queries and updates in natural
language. It is not a speech engine (recognition nor synthesis), nor is it a
database application on its own. It is a middleware enabling automatic voice
activation of any existing database application. As such it allows fast
deployment of voice-activated applications in any language, supporting any
device (telephone, GSM, microphones, PDA (personal data assistants),
television, remote controller, etc.), in a server-client or in an embedded
architecture. This approach has been internationally patented. The company
has developed solutions based on the SDK in different vertical niches: GIS, GPS,
logistics, maintenance, security, e-government.

Each person uses 120 liters of drinking water daily on average. On these 120
liters, 40 liters are used for the rinsing of the toilet bowl.
The Water Convert are a new concept which enables you to daily save these 40
liters of drinking water thanks to a new system of recovery of water starting
from the bath-tub or the shower. This water is filtered mechanically, treated by
UV and stored in a tank of 180 liters located at the site of the traditional tank
of your WC. The drinking water is increasingly invaluable.

This economy is at the same time direct, with less water consumption, and
indirect, by the State investing less money to treat water because the demand
for drinking water is reduced. The economy of water per year and per million
inhabitants can be estimated at 14.600.000 m3 of drinking water. The Water
Convert replaces the traditional system of rinsing of the toilet bowl without
additional obstruction and important work of installation.

ECONOMIC PROFILE OF BELGIUM,
THE HEART OF EUROPE
Belgium is a federal Kingdom, with three Regions (the Flemish Region, the Walloon Region and the Brussels-Capital Region) and three
communities (the Flemish Community, where Dutch is spoken, the French Community and the German Community).
Belgium has a population of 10.584.534 inhabitants (as of 1.01.07) and is one of the most densely populated states in Europe.
Brussels is the capital of Europe, the site of the headquarters of the European Commission, the Council of Ministers and the European
Parliament. Other major international organizations, such as NATO, are also located in Brussels. As a result, Brussels is the number
two city in the world (after Washington) in terms of its number of accredited journalists, and fourth in terms of the number of
international meetings and seminars held there.
With a surface area of 30,500 km², Belgium is one of the smallest Member States in the European Union. Nevertheless, it is a significant
player in the world economy. GDP in 2006 was € 392 billion, making Belgium the 18th economy in the world. Belgium is a high income
country, with a GNI (gross national income) per capita of $ 38,600 (World Bank data).
According to the World Trade Organization (WTO), in 2006, Belgium was the 10th exporter of goods and the 14th exporter of services
globally. Belgium’s share in world merchandise exports was 3.1% in 2006, while its share in world imports of goods was 2.9%.
Belgium is the world leader in terms of export per capita.
Belgium was also the 4th recipient of Foreign Direct Investment flows in the world in 2006 (UNCTAD World Investment Report 2007).
FDI into Belgium more than doubled to $72 billion, raising its total FDI stock to $603 billion, which was more than the country’s GDP
at the end of 2006. The continued presence in Belgium of TNC “coordination centres”, as well as the new tax incentives that entered
into force in January 2006 (notional interest deduction) may have contributed to that increase. Belgium’s FDI outflows also increased
in 2006, making it the 7th largest source of FDI worldwide.
