Day 2 - Brussels Highlights and Christmas Markets
Begin your Belgian experience with a walking tour of Brussels’ beautiful old town. Admire the wonderful ornate architecture around you as you stand in the middle of Grand
Place, the magnificent square in the heart of the old quarter, considered to be one of the most elaborate in Europe.
During the month of December you will also be able to meander through the many wooden chalets making up the fantastic Christmas market that is also situated in this
famous square. Explore the gastronomic delights, handmade gifts and unusual stocking fillers to make this Christmas extra special.
From here, continue your tour to find Brussels' most famous resident, the Manneken Pis, a bronze statue of a small boy watering the fountain. Your tour will then take you
further afield to Horta House and, finally, to the Atomium, from the top of which you will be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of Brussels.

Day 3 - Ghent & Bruges
Embark on an excursion to the picturesque cities of Ghent and Bruges today with your English-speaking driver-guide and private vehicle (8 hrs). Ghent is the principal seat of
the county of Flanders and its medieval quarters and splendid castle are symbols of the city’s history. Follow your local English-speaking guide on a fascinating tour of the
city to include one of the greatest masterpieces of Flemish painting: the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb by Jan van Eyck.
After lunch at leisure, continue to Bruges, a beautiful medieval city of canals, often called the "Venice of the North", where your guide will take you on a tour along the most
attractive waterways and streets as well as the Groeninge Museum. During your visit, enjoy another of Belgium’s great Christmas markets. Bruges has two markets both
offering handmade gifts, clothing, food, drink and other knick knacks. We definitely recommend trying a fresh hot waffle and Glühwein as you wonder around the stalls – it’s
a tradition that’s well worth following! And of course you can’t leave without at least tasting some of the many Belgian homemade chocolates on display.
