Thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce to you, Ocean World Adventure
Park, Marina & Casino. Our full service marina is strategically located on the North Coast
of the Dominican Republic, along the important route between The Bahamas/Turks &
Caicos Islands and Puerto Rico/Eastern Caribbean.
We are not only the sole full service marina in the area, but we also have a state of the
art marine park, where you can swim with dolphins, sharks and sea lions, among other
attractions. In addition, we boast a five star restaurant, Las Vegas type show, dance-club,
liquor store/sports bar, and the nicest casino in the Dominican Repubic.
We are conveniently located four miles from Puerto Plata and 30 minutes from the
international airport (POP), only 30 minutes drive away, with direct flights to Miami, NY,
Canada, Great Britain and Germany.
There are plenty of activities in the area, including white water rafting, golf courses, fishing,
zip-lining, horseback riding, kite surfing, and of course the attractions of Ocean World.
There are 1,300 hotel rooms within one mile of the marina.
The resort towns of Sosua and Cabarete are only half hour drive away and have their own
identities and attractions. Santiago is one hour away, a city with 1 million residents where
all kinds of wholesale supplies and services can be purchased, if they cannot be found in
Puerto Plata.The capital Santo Domingo is 3 hours by car, a modern city with 4 million
residents.
The purpose of this letter is to get your company interested in offering Ocean World as
a destination for your charter yachts, or more importantly, as a potential home port or
base. Labor costs are low, compared to the US or other islands in the Caribbean, and so
are many food and liquor items.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Dominican Republic is an incredible land in the heart
of the Caribbean. The country shares a border with Haiti
on the second largest island in the Antilles.
Occupying the eastern two-thirds of the island, the
Dominican Republic is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean
on the North and the Caribbean Sea to the South. As part
of the Tropic of Cancer, the Dominican Republic has a
breathtaking topography. Mountains, valleys and beaches
make up this diverse photogenic land. Three large peak
ranges run through the island. Nearly half of the country is
taken up by the large mountains.
PUERTO PLATA
It is adorned with beautiful Victorian houses dating back to
the end of the 19th. century and the San Felipe fortress,
which dates from 1577.
A coastline with over 62 miles of beaches, coastal villages
and hotels. Puerto Plata province offers yachtsmen a
glimpse of history along with beautiful beaches and
everything else you’d expect from its rich tropical setting.
With an international airport, it is also the perfect launch
point for an itinerary in the heart of the Caribbean. Puerto
Plata province, where the remains of the first European
settlement in the Americas is located. Admiral Christopher
Columbus’ famous three ships made landfall here in 1492
and called it La Isabela.
The Silver Bank
The Silver Banks, also known as the “sanctuary for the
marine mammals of the Dominican Republic” is located
60 miles northeast of Ocean World Marina; it is one of
numerous breeding and calving zones of humpback whales.
Research indicates that the Silver Bank contains the largest
population of humpbacks in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Conservative estimates believe three to five thousand
humpbacks pass through this odd shaped twenty square
miles surrounding the Silver Banks during a season. From
December to the middle of April waters of the Dominican
Republic are alive with migrating Humpback Whales from
the Atlantic Ocean.
One of the highlights of your adventure will be when you
have the opportunity to jump into the water to experience
a soft-in-water encounter with these magnificent mammals.
Trying to express in words the feelings you will live as a
mother with a calf slipstreaming along her back, gliding by
you. Visualize a female with escort, acrobatically spiraling
around you for hours, as she toys with your presence,
playfully returning to your position while totally in control
of her body movements. The sheer thought of a thirty to
fifty foot mammal coming to you, on their terms, in their
domain, allowing you to share their world, is fantastic
in nature, but dreams do come true every day at this
sanctuary.
GREEN GETAWAY
Wading through crystal clear water with smooth natural
stone under foot and jungle foliage growing up to 30ft.
walls on either side, you get the feeling that this is a water
park in paradise.
Come to the trail that takes you through the jungle to the
base of the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua, climb from level to
level, then the fun comes sliding back down in what indeed
is a waterslide that only mother nature could design.

Paradise Island is the only coral island of the Dominican
Republic, a perfect circle-round reef in the middle of the
ocean with an inner sand-bank, adventure and ecologystyle; with its amazing untouched coral reef is one of the
best beaches in the world and the greatest place in the
Dominican Republic for snorkeling.
The north coast of the Dominican Republic has a lot to
offer.
There are several dive sites near Ocean world Marina,
including the Airport Wall, Three Rocks or Canyon which
are perfect for shallow dives or training dives. There are
also special dives like the dive on the Zingara wreck and
cave dive at caverns such as “El Dudu”. Enter thru the fresh
clean water lagoon where the visibility is an astonishing 50
meters (160+ ft).
The perfect blend of the surrounding physical elements of
nature, such as the location of the offshore reefs at the
entrance of the bay, the direction from which the trade
winds usually blow, and the low-lying hills behind the village
cause a unique thermal effect that forms a beautiful layout.
The area is well known as a world class kite-boarding
destination and has been ranked as the world’s best.

Puerto Plata is home to a famous Robert Trent Jones golf
course. Located in the Playa Dorada resort complex, it is
also listed as one of the top 100 golf courses in the world.
Serious golfers may want to make a trip outside of Puerto
Plata to another Robert Trent Jones creation, Playa Grande,
considered to be one of the best courses in the Caribbean.
Brugal is the world’s third largest producer of rum, ranking
only behind Bacardi and Captain Morgan.
The Brugal family inadvertently started the movement for
entrepreneurship in the Dominican Republic when Andres
Brugal Montaner settled in Puerto Plata on the northern
coast of the island and started a small rum distillery in
1888. Today our guests can tour the Brugal facilities, where
the family still ages, blends, and bottles their rum.
Today, the Dominican Republic produces and exports the
