activities. The Long Ride 2016 is a Men’s Health initiative designed to raise
awareness of Prostate Cancer and to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer

An unexpected visit to Canada a couple of years ago set Cassandra Philpot off
on a new path with jewellery-making. At Bavin Glassworks (Invermere, British
Columbia) she learnt to make lampwork glass beads. It was very exciting
for her to return home with a suitcase full of beads and use them, along
with pearls, crystals, silver and semi-precious stones to compose beautiful
necklaces. She now makes her own glass beads in her home studio.
Peter Lees creates his woodwork out of bits of recycled timber to create
interesting pieces including tables, trugs, trays and intricate cupboards with
lace stencilling etc.
