Piccadilly’s timeline is intertwined with the history of shoe design evolution in Brazil, and the person responsible for all of this was Almiro Grings, a visionary who had bold ideas. Along with his partners Alfredo Marmitt, Evaldo Armindo Klein and Arnildo Kaiser, he decided to invest on the shoe market at a time when this sector was still completely undeveloped in the South of the country. They started off small: 12 pairs of shoes were produced each day. But Mr. Grings, who is a descendant of German immigrants, believed in what he was doing. And he was right; today, Piccadilly has a daily production rate of 50 thousand pairs, and exports to over 90 countries.
