The 220ha vineyard is entirely planted on sandy, poor soils. The fruit has high
concentrations that are essential to produce concentrated and complex wines.
In the last 8 years, a lot was done and renewed at “Quinta da Alorna”, from
the vineyards, to the winery and also in the commercial approach to the market.
The global competition in the wine market compromises us in order to produce
wines with competitive prices, and our goal is always to produce good value
wines, adapted to the market demand. At this moment, Alorna, sells 50%
of the produced wines to the international markets. The sales in international
markets grew 82% in 2011 and 72% at the end of april of 2012.

REN owns and operates the main energy infrastructures in Portugal, namely
the electricity transmission grid, the natural gas pipelines, storage facilities and LNG
Terminal. All the above infrastructures are operated under long term concession
contracts.
On top of the above concessions the Portuguese State has granted REN
the concession for the operation of a pilot area for the generation of electricity
from sea waves, for a 45 year period.
We also develop other smaller activities that complement our core electricity
and natural gas businesses: a telecommunications franchise to exploit the surplus
of optical fiber capacity in our energy networks, a small energy trading business
(under the remaining PPAs) and a power exchange platform with Spain.
Founded in 1977, Revigrés is a benchmark in the world of ceramics, producing
sandstone porcelain floor and wall tiles and glazed wall tiles.

Serra Lopes, Cortes Martins & Associados’ (“SLCM”) is a mid-size Portuguese
law firm, whose activities in Portugal go back to 1961, being, since then,
recognized as one of the country’s most respected and reputed legal practices,
mainly in our core areas of M&A and Litigation. The firm is currently composed
of 34 lawyers, of which approximately 20 are dedicated, on an exclusivity basis,
to corporate, commercial and M&A. Our offices are located in Lisbon, Portugal.
SIM belongs to a business group that, for more than five decades, has been
operating in several markets and activity areas. It was founded in 2005 to implement
a very high quality coffee production project to meet the Asian fast growing market.
Our firm has extensive experience in Merger & Acquisitions, Privatizations, Foreign
Investment (in-bound and out-bound), Capital Markets, Tax, Arbitration
and Litigation, Public Law and Procurement, Banking and Finance, Private Equity,
Employment, Sports, Intellectual Property, being active in both the domestic
and international scene with a great track-record of cross-border and international
transactions, with a very diversified client base.
Recently, SLCM has had the pleasure to act as Portuguese legal counsel
for the Chinese SOE, China Three Gorges Corporation (“CTG”), in the largest
(in terms of value) privatization process held in Portugal, which culminated
in the acquisition by CTG of a 21,35% stake in EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A.
(the biggest Portuguese Energy Utility).
Therefore, SIM built a new factory site with a total area of 2.100m2 and a roasting
capacity of 9.000 ton/year, the project represents an investment of 25 million
US dollars, with best technology, a modern and fully equipped laboratory
and cupping room for daily tests, designed to be the most modern coffee factory
in Asia. Product reliability will be assured by the attaining of the ISO 22000,
ISO 9001 and HACCP.
Macau is considered to be the appropriate location for the site, with a very
convenient port, close to the most important coffee consuming countries in Asia.
Macau is also a natural gateway to China once it benefits from the CEPA
preferential treatment.
This transaction represented a very relevant milestone in the commercial relationship
between the People’s Republic of China and Portugal, having raised a lot of attention
to the potential synergies and mutual interest of investors from both countries.
Having had the opportunity to be directly involved in this process, SLCM envisages
to expand and develop its knowledge, contacts and experience in order to be
at the forefront in the rendering legal services in Portugal to investors from the
People’s Republic of China.

Board Director
TOPWINES was created in 2008 and has since been the only exporting company
to Asia specialized in Portuguese boutique-type wine producers.
Vista Alegre porcelain factory was founded in 1824, in Ílhavo, part of Aveiro
district (near the sea, in central Portugal); it was the fruition of a dream
of a Portuguese visionary in the 19th Century.
It takes someone constantly in Portugal to know what goes on in the business.
Consistency is hard to find, especially if we are looking for special wines, rather
than mass-produced products.
The same goes for dominating the Asian market - a mere yearly visit in the field
is certainly not enough to keep sales consistent.
This is why we definitely bring difference and advantage - for being in two places
(Asia and Portugal) at once. We have been gathering a long experience
on communicating in seminars wine tastings and many other different promotional
events. Also, this is why such important producers trust the Asian market in our
hands - and many others trying to get into our group.
Keeping with the hard task of selecting the best Portuguese wines, we continuously
look and select the most exciting, emerging, consistent and valuable small
producers in Portugal, gathering them into our selection, which woks as an umbrella
brand that supports and invests in the marketing and promotional forces behind
the implementation and consistent market positioning of each one of the brands.
Along its history, the Vista Alegre brand has always been closely associated with
Portuguese history and cultural life, acquiring an international reputation that
is unique.
In 2001, Vista Alegre Group (porcelain, earthenware and stoneware) merged with
the Atlantis Group (crystal and glass) giving rise to one of the largest groups
of tableware and giftware in Europe, the Vista Alegre Atlantis Group.
The company is a leader in the Iberian market and produces about fifteen million
pieces per year between decorative porcelain, tableware and hotelware, exporting
to over sixty countries.
With the core values of universality and excellence, harmoniously combining
tradition and modernity, Vista Alegre Atlantis has developed products with
designers and artists of world renown, and has always been associated with
the highest standards of elegance and functionality.
