Klettermax from Hailo
It’s a warm welcome back to a successful classic, the Klettermax from Hailo, which
is returning to our homes and takes us back to the Fifties. This versatile product is
much loved by generations for its dual-purpose “seat and steps” personality. With its
now quaint slogan “The Klettermax is twice as nice – your stool’s a ladder in a just a
trice”, the step stool came onto the market in its original form back in 1955. The
continuing retro trend prevalent in home interiors, lifestyle products and fashion has
now inspired Hailo to revive its cult bestseller.
The new design-led incarnation of an old favourite is causing a sensation and
embodies the yesteryear style perfectly with its contemporary features. Just like its
predecessor, this latest version also has extendable steps, so it works as steps or a
stool. What’s more, Hailo has given the Klettermax a fold-away seat cushion made
from black felt for a chic alternative if more seating is needed at short notice.
The modern frame is made from silver-grey coated tubular steel and matches all
interior decors. The feet are fitted with soft grip soles and provide a firm footing on
all floors. For added safety on the ups and downs, the aluminium steps are covered
with non-slip ribbing. Just 8 kg in weight, the Klettermax has a load capacity of 150
kg and is light to carry and easy to position wherever it’s needed. Hailo supplies the
2-in-1 step stool as a flat-pack easy-to-assemble kit.
