LIBRARY NEWS
FROM THE DIRECTOR’S
Although fall is still a few short weeks away the library is in high gear
preparing for our 7th Annual Culture Days Celebration. As in previous
years we are celebrating culture in all of its forms. The opportunity
to see all of the cultures in our beautiful city coming together and
sharing their art, dance and songs is such a rich experience.
The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library along with the Art Gallery of
Algoma, the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site, the Steelton
Seniors
Centre and Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre and the Local
Immigration Partnership have partnered together to invite you to
explore all their exciting activities.
To learn more about this event please visit www.culturedays.ca
As Diane Lee stated so perfectly, “Arts and culture do not really have
a geopolitical boundary. So it is probably one of the best ways of
cultivating understanding between people”.

Once again we want to wish one of our long time

After many years, this June 1, 2016 Kim Ward unlocked the doors to the Churchill
branch Library for the last time. On behalf of Kim’s many long time library
patrons, friends and co-workers we want to wish her all the best as she begins this
new chapter in her life.
