About Ohio Valley Mall
Ohio Valley Mall is in the center of the fifth fastest growing MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) in the country,
according the U.S. Department of Commerce. The mall recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation, adding
new amenities and transforming the look and feel for shoppers and tenants. The mall complex is a super regional center that
encompasses approximately 1.5 million square feet of shopping, dining, lodging and entertainment. It is situated in southeast
Ohio, adjacent to the West Virginia panhandle city of Wheeling. The 1 million-plus square foot enclosed mall includes anchors
such as Boscov’s, a newly renovated Macy’s, Sears, Elder-Beerman, Carmike Cinemas, Pat Catan’s and Kmart, plus 80
specialty shops. The complex outparcels feature David’s Bridal, Toys “R” Us, HH Gregg, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Ollie’s, Planet
Fitness and Rural King Supply, plus a variety of restaurants and two hotels. A new adjacent outparcel, Ohio Valley Place, is
now under development. A new Residence Inn by Marriott and Buffalo Wild Wings will open in the new development in 2016.
Wheeling MS Growing 5th Fastest in Nation
New statistics show the area consisting of Belmont, Marshall and Ohio counties comprises the fifth-fastest
growing economy in the nation. The Wheeling Metropolitan Statistical Area’s gross domestic product grew by 9.5
percent from 2013 to 2014, according to data provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Belmont County named site for possible multibillion-dollar ‘cracker’ site

Hundreds of jobs coming with multi-billion dollar cracker plant

5 cities where wages are soaring
Wages in Wheeling not only grew in 2013, but also grew faster as the year went along. In the first quarter of
last year, wages were up 4.2 percent compared to the first quarter the year before. By the fourth quarter of last
year, that figure had risen to 8.7 percent.
