Bom Exemplo 2012 Award
2012 marks ten years of an important social partnership
built in Aglomerado da Serra community. This community received the Criança Esperança Project – an opportunity for children, teenagers and youths.
Together, UNESCO, Belo Horizonte City Hall, PUC Minas
(Catholic University) and TV Globo have promoted the arts,
culture, knowledge and sports in one of the most crowded
and needy areas of the city. Today the children are already in
professional dance groups and our gymnasts participate in international events.
The sustainability projects have advanced. We have maintained the ISO 14001 certification and received the Green Seal,
as an environmentally responsible company in Belo Horizonte.
The number of employees has grown in all the company,
but there has been a considerable number of employees in
strategic areas, such as journalism and engineering.
Innovative training programs have increased the creative
force and promoted the technical qualification through the
interaction between experienced professionals and new employees. We invested in the talent and training of our teams for
the challenges and coverage of the large events of 2013 and
2014.

Recruiting, Qualification and Training
Development of high-performance teams
The work of the outside broadcast teams involves professionals from different areas and with
different training. Journalists, camera reporters
and camera assistants met for two weekends for
training in work relations, harmonious working
and enhancing the performance of the teams.
Simulation of great events
To train more employees to work in the transmission of large events, such as soccer games,
Human Resources prepared a simulated training
for professionals in different Jobs. The simulation
was the transmission of a game of the 2nd division of the Brazilian Championship in the Independência Stadium in Belo Horizonte. The game
and the training were recorded for later evaluation. Each person trained had an instructor to
analyze positive aspects and failures that occurred. This training made possible reflection on individual performance and that of the group. In
the next stage, the trained employee accompanied the instructor in other soccer transmissions,
continuing the theoretical and practical development.

sedentariness and cardiovascular diseases. The
Medida Certa Program emphasizes a change in
lifestyle and was launched in March by the TV
celebrities Zeca Camargo and Renata Ceribelli.
The employees have discounts of 80% in
their monthly fees at fitness centers, 70% in fees
of race personal trainer companies and 100% in
dance classes. The nutritional monitoring and
food and oral health reeducation programs are
also free for employees.
Results
Within three months of implementation, 91
employees joined academia activities, 23 joined
jogging and walking groups, 36 had ballroom

Preservation of natural resources
To reduce water consumption, a reservoir
with a 20-thousand-liter capacity stores rainwater and is used to wash vehicles and water the
gardens. Rest rooms were reformed, replacing
wall flushing by tank toilet flush and timed faucets, while also using solar energy water heating
and lighting with motion detectors.
To reduce paper consumption, printers were
standardized to front and back black and White
printing. LED monitors with electronic circuits
replaced 60% of the announcement boards.
To reduce the use of plastic cups, clay mugs
(hot drinks) and stainless steel mugs (water) are
