In recognition of costs incurred by the Centre for planning, preparation, facilitation, and materials for
programs, the following guidelines are in effect:

1.A full refund of fees will be given if a member/non- member cancels his/her participation in a program 48 hours prior to the start date of the program. Alternatively, the fees can be applied to another program.
2.A full refund of fees, less an administration fee of $20 will be given if a member/non-member cancels his/her participation in a program without 48 hours notice. Alternatively, the fees can be applied to another program.

3.A refund of fees or credit note will not be given after the start date of a program. Individual consideration will be given if the withdrawal is due to medical reasons (less an administration fee of $20). A doctor’s note is required.
4.For nutrition and culinary programs with food, no refund or credit will be given for any withdrawal reason without 72 hours notice.
5.If the Centre cancels the program a full refund will be given. Alternatively, the fees can be applied to another program.
6.No refunds will be given under $10.00. A credit note will be issued instead.

The Reh-Fit Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that provides quality access throughout the entire facility. The Centre features two elevators as well as accessible
exercise equipment. We have designated parking and
accessible washrooms and showers.

The Reh-Fit Centre strives to make membership accessible
to all. Financial Assistance will be provided based upon
individual need and the availability of funds. A confidential
interview may be arranged once the financial assistance

Member Buddies
Children of individual members 12 – 18 years of age or
children who are full-time students 25 years of age and
younger, (subject to proof of student status) residing at the same address as the INDIVIDUAL member. Children under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Members may bring in a support person/buddy if physical
assistance is required (subject to approval from the
Membership Services Manager).

TOURS
Senior Select
Reh-Fit staff and volunteers are available to provide tours
for guests and prospective members. Please see the
Reception Desk staff.
Individuals 65 years of age or older. Use of the facility is
restricted to Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 3:00
pm, and Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm (September –
May), 1:00 – 3:00 pm (June – August).
Members may “freeze” their membership for 30, 60, or 90
days once during a calendar year for a non-refundable
nominal fee per month. This feature is designed for a member going away for an extended period.

Our team of more than 65 professionals in nursing,
fitness, physiotherapy, nutrition, lab assessment, membership services, building maintenance, and administration understands, respects, and cares about your health and fitness goals.
Three-Month Trial
$250
Three-month period available for any individual that has
not been a member of the Reh-Fit Centre in the past.
This pass may be converted to a membership on or before the date of expiry. The difference between the trial rate and the annual rate is paid and the individual receives nine months as a member. At the time of conversion, the enrollment fee of $100 is collected. Payment for the remaining nine months may be paid up front or on a monthly basis. The three-month trial is subject to the Health Screening form.
GUESTS
Guests 12 years of age and older are welcome at the Reh-Fit
Centre. Children between the ages of 12 and 15 need to be
accompanied by an adult. Use of the facility is subject to the
Health Screening form. Guests that come with a member
receive a reduced guest fee. A guest may come to the Centre
a maximum of three times in one calendar year, except for out of town guests. All guests are required to show photo
identification. Lockers are available for a refundable toonie.

medical reasons at no charge for a minimum of two weeks
and up to 16 weeks. Written notification from your physician,
with a completed medical extension form, must be
submitted to the Reception Desk when you are ready to return to the Centre.

Reciprocity
Youth
The Reh-Fit Centre is a member of the International
Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) and the Medical Fitness Association (MFA). If you travel
outside of Winnipeg, most other IHRSA and MFA Centres
in North America will honour your Reh-Fit membership for
a period of time. Our members have guest fee access to
over 4500 clubs worldwide through the IHRSA Passport
Program (www.healthclubs.com), and 90 clubs through the
Medical Fitness Association. Don’t forget to carry your
membership card with you when visiting other cities.

GENTLE YOGA / CHAIR YOGA
CYCLE YOGA
This class is suitable for those who are recovering from an illness, surgery, or have a physical limitation. It is also
suitable for those who wish to take a yoga class at a
gentler pace. All exercises can be done from a chair.
Get the best of both worlds; improve cardiovascular
fitness, balance, strength, and flexibility. This class consists
of a 45-minute group ride followed by 45 minutes of yoga.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

In these classes, the various restorative asanas (poses) will
be adjusted and sequenced to emphasize different effects –
e.g. soothing the digestive system, headache relief, relief from

WALKING WITH CHI
MEDITATION FOR BODY, MIND & SPIRIT
Get the most out of your walking routine. Increase your
energy while revitalizing yourself as you walk. This program
is offered in cooperation with Creative Retirement.
In this four-session program, based in part on Dr. Herbert
Benson’s work at Harvard Medical School, participants are introduced to meditation as a way to enhance one’s
physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Participants

If you have recurrent angina, recently suffered a heart
attack, or undergone heart surgery or coronary angioplasty,
cardiac rehabilitation can help.

RECOUNTING STORIES
One fall can greatly affect you or someone you love and
their quality of life. Learn different strategies, adaptive
aids, and simple adaptations that could make a huge
difference in your safety and enjoyment of life. We will
also discuss different types of exercise and the part they play in improving your balance.
Every week dozens of individuals have surgery to replace
their hips or knees. This session is designed to inform
participants of the entire process of getting and living
well with knee and/or hip replacements. Whether you
want to know what conditions joint replacements are
recommended for, what the surgery entails, what your
hospital stay will be like, or what life is like after the
surgery your questions will be answered.
Do you have a story to tell but need help putting pen to paper? This new and exciting workshop helps you
celebrate and share your life experiences through creative
writing. By marrying the principals of writing with hands
on experience, we provide a safe and nurturing environment to develop your storytelling proficiency.
Bring a story idea, paper, and pen.
Bidding review and declarer play, this course is for those
who have had Basic Bridge lessons or those who have
been away from the bridge table for a while. The course
gives a complete review of the bidding, adding some
more interesting sequences. Play of the hand is dealt
with in detail. Develop extra “tricks”. This class will help
