2015 Partnership Proposal Part 1: Landon Cassill and JD Motorsports Landon Cassill Fast Facts Age: 25 Hometown: Cedar Rapids, Iowa Current Residence: Charlotte, NC Spouse: Katie 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year. Lead Research and Development driver for Hendrick Motorsports for 5 years. The first year of the new COT car, HMS won the championship with Landon's testing help. Media and fan favorite for his likable personality and light-hearted spirit. Hobbies: rounds of mini-golf, working out, iRacing, and listening to many types of music. Johnny Davis Fast Facts Johnny Davis, CEO & General Manager, has been affiliated in NASCAR competition for over 27 Years and a life-long resident of Gaffney, SC, in Cherokee County. Began as a crew member and fabricator for several Winston Cup and Busch Series teams. Won a NASCAR Busch Series Championship with Larry Pearson in 1987. In the early 1990's Johnny opened a competition GoKart shop while also building NASCAR Show Cars. Launched his own NASCAR Busch Series Team in 2002 in Blacksburg, SC. Relocated to a bigger 40,000 + square feet facility in Gaffney, SC. in 2007. In 2015 the team operates 2 full time teams in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series with car No. "01“ and No. “4.” 2014: JD Motorsports’ Best Year So Far A review of the 2014 season shows the JDM No. 01 team and Cassill as the best non-Sprint Cup affiliated operation in the Xfinity garage. Cassill, who also ran the full Sprint Cup schedule in ’14, finished 12th in the Xfinity driver standings. He was 10th in points for several weeks in the middle of the season despite racing against much heavier-funded teams with connections to Cup racing. In the owner standings, Davis finished a solid 17th. Cassill won $918,212 and had top-10 race runs at Talladega, Iowa and Road America. After the first five races of the season, he was no lower in points than 14th. Part 2: The NASCAR Xfinity Series NASCAR Xfinity Series: Introduction The Xfinity Series is a mixture of NASCAR’s top stars and young, new faces eager to make their mark in the racing world. The unique combination of veteran drivers and young guns makes for some of the most exciting racing, and some of the most surprising finishes in all of NASCAR. In 2014, the Xfinity Series averaged 1.7 million television viewers tuned in per event. Current and new “Likes” will be asked to participate in a custom developed Facebook application which would automatically submit the users profile picture or desired photo, after agreeing to terms, to a 3D custom developed mosaic Cowboys & Aliens race car with a feature that will allow the user to search for their photo out of the 50,000+ photos.
