2016 Season Partnership Proposal Part 1: Who We Are No. 4 Driver: Ross Chastain Age: 23 Hometown: Alva, FL An 8th generation farmer from South Florida. Began his racing career at age 12 in late model and Fastruck series. Made his NASCAR debut in the Camping World Truck series in 2011, scoring a top 10 in his first start. Running fulltime in 2012-2013, Ross raced his way to twelve top 10's and two poles. Raced in seven Xfinity races in 2014, with a top 10 finish at Kentucky Speedway. 2015 was Chastain’s first full-time season in the Xfinity Series; he is currently 15th is driver points with 4 top-ten finishes. No. 01 Driver: Ryan Preece Age: 25 Hometown: Berlin, CT 2013 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion; youngest champion in tour history. Named to NASCAR's elite, NASCAR NEXT, class of 2013 & 2014. 2012 & 2014 Thompson Speedway Sunoco Modified Champion. 2013 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 4th Place in the Nation. 2013 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Bowman Gray Stadium Kevin Powell 199 Event Winner. 2011 Stafford Motor Speedway SK Modified Champion. Johnny Davis Johnny Davis, CEO & General Manager, has been affiliated in NASCAR competition for over 27 Years and a life-long resident of Gaffney, SC, in Cherokee County. Began as a crew member and fabricator for several Winston Cup and Busch Series teams. Won a NASCAR Busch Series Championship with Larry Pearson in 1987. Launched his own NASCAR Busch Series Team in 2002 in Blacksburg, SC; relocated to a bigger 40,000 + square feet facility in Gaffney, SC. in 2007. The team operates 3 full time teams in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series with car No. "01,” No. “4,” and No. “0.” Davis and the JD Motorsports team have weathered many challenges over the years and have continued to come back stronger in every year of NASCAR racing. JD Motorsports: 2015 Season JDM’s on track performance has steadily improved over the years, and the team is now the #1 non-Sprint Cup Affiliated team in the Xfinity Series. The team stats for 2015 include: 7 top-ten finishes At Darlington and Daytona, two JDM cars finished in the top-ten 13 top-fifteen finishes 10 laps led by JDM cars 20 lead-lap finishes Part 2: The NASCAR Xfinity Series NASCAR Xfinity Series: Introduction The Xfinity Series is a mixture of NASCAR’s top stars and young, new faces eager to make their mark in the racing world. The unique combination of veteran drivers and young guns makes for some of the most exciting racing, and some of the most surprising finishes in all of NASCAR. America’s second most popular motorsports series (trailing only the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series), the NASCAR Xfinity Series is pure, authentic and accessible racing. NASCAR Xfinity Series: Events & Audience The Xfinity season features 33 events at 23 tracks across the U.S., 27 of which are companion weekends with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. An average of approximately 50,000 fans attend each NASCAR Xfinity Series event. Over 32 million unique television viewers have tuned in to the Xfinity Series in 2015. In 2015, the Xfinity Series has averaged 1.5 million television viewers tuned in per event. NASCAR Xfinity Series: Team Value JD Motorsports subscribes to Joyce Julius, a third party company that provides weekly media equivalency reports. By their reports, JD Motorsports has an average value of $148,185 per race. This number only accounts for race coverage and does not include the coverage that the team receives during practices, qualifying, and radio broadcasts. JDM qualified in the top-24 50 times in the 2015 season, and has frequently been spotlighted during practices and radio coverage. More sponsorship money = better engines and tires = greater probability of good finishes = more television coverage for sponsors. Total $84,900 Part 3: The NASCAR Fans NASCAR Fans: Demographic Snapshot 1/3 of the U.S population (18years+) are NASCAR Fans. 62% Male / 38% Female. 1 in 5 NASCAR Fans is multicultural. 37% of NASCAR Fans have a child under the age of 18 living in the home. 52% of NASCAR fans make $50K+ per year. Half of avid fans are sharing NASCAR related content on Facebook or Twitter. 1 out of 3 fans follow sponsors on Twitter. The NASCAR Xfinity Series averages a Twitter reach of 581,000, and Facebook reach of 2 million per race. Xfinity teams and sponsors are part of that conversation every week. Motorsports Marketing: Case Study The Promotion: Drive NASCAR & Mike Wallace/JD Motorsports fans to the Cowboys & Aliens movie website/Facebook page to become a “LIKE” of the movie. Non-like fans would be driven to a custom made landing page that featured the movie’s trailer and a unique sweepstakes opportunity for fans to have their picture on a, first of its kind, mosaic Cowboys & Aliens paint scheme on the JD Motorsports/Mike Wallace #01 Chevrolet that would be driven in NASCAR’s Nationwide Series’ “Fourth of July Weekend” race at Daytona International Speedway. Current and new “Likes” will be asked to participate in a custom developed Facebook application which would automatically submit the users profile picture or desired photo, after agreeing to terms, to a 3D custom developed mosaic Cowboys & Aliens race car with a feature that will allow the user to search for their photo out of the 50,000+ photos.
