Students may also participate in a
wide range of activities in conjunction with Morehouse College and
Clark Atlanta University, including

Residence Life
From historic residence halls to
apartment-style environments,
Spelman offers a wide choice of
living options in 11 residence halls.
All first-year and sophomore
students are required to live on
campus, and most juniors and seniors
choose to do so as well. Living
options include smaller “themed” halls
focusing on spiritual development,
social justice, or green living.
Alumnae
Spelman graduates go on to prestigious graduate and professional
programs, global corporations,
and government agencies around
the world. Our alumnae are Pulitzer
Prize–winning authors, accomplished actors and artists, savvy
business executives, innovative
biomedical engineers, and realworld economists dedicated to
improving the quality of life for
those in underserved nations.
Each year, our best and brightest
alumnae return to campus to
mentor our students, and ensure
that this proud legacy of greatness
continues for generations to come.
Admission
Admission to Spelman College is
highly competitive. In addition to
academic credentials, we consider
