Welcome to Gamehole Con 2013!
It’s time to Game Harder!
Gamehole Con is the premier hardcore tabletop gaming convention
in the region. Gamehole Con is all about tabletop gaming and nothing
else. The convention features role-playing games, board games,
fantasy and historical miniature gaming, and collectible card games.
Gamehole Con is for the fantasy and adventure tabletop gaming
enthusiast. Serious gamers - you will love this con! Wisconsin is the
birthplace of Dungeons & Dragons, the fantasy role playing game
that started it all. We have a tremendously rich gaming culture here
in Wisconsin. We lead the nation in number of gaming stores per
capita. The Gamehole is a hole for gaming. It is filled with gamers,
gaming, food, fellowship and fun. We hope that you find Gamehole
Con to be the perfect place to game.

Information
Gamehole Con Badges
Who needs a Badge?
Everyone (excluding children ages 8 and under) attending Gamehole Con must
purchase a badge. A valid badge must be worn at all times for identification
while in the Con and during game play/events. Your badge will allow you to
purchase event tickets and be admitted to the Exhibit Hall, Seminars and other
events happening in public areas during the Con. Badges must be visible at all
times to assure staff and security of your eligibility to participate in the Con. We
do not offer parent badges, shopper badges or other types of limited-access badges.
Minors
Any registrant 12 years of age or younger must be accompanied to the convention
at all times by an adult or legal guardian.
Event Tickets
Why do I need Event Tickets?
An event ticket confirms a spot to participate in a game or event that is
scheduled during the Con. An event ticket is required to participate in all
games scheduled during the Con.

The Stars are Right
Any of the following will be grounds for expulsion from the Gamehole Con without
refund:
• Violating any federal, state or local laws, Hotel rules or Con policies
• Failure to comply with the instructions of Gamehole Con Event Staff or security personnel
• Using anything in a threatening or destructive manner against person or property
• Endangering the safety of oneself or others
• Threatening, stealing, cheating or harassing others
Event Ticket Exchanges
Event-specific ticket exchanges must be requested at least 30 minutes prior to
the start of the event. Event ticket exchanges will be managed at the Games Desk
and will only be exchanged to the person whose name is on the ticket (whether
it is the purchaser or the receiver). A valid government-issued photo ID and a
Gamehole Con 2013 badge are required to process any type of ticket exchange.
For ticket exchanges, please present the ticket for the event you would like to
exchange and provide the Game ID number for the event you wish to replace.
Event Cancellations
If an event has been cancelled, please see the Games Desk for further instructions.
Lost or Misplaced Badges & Event Tickets
We cannot replace lost, stolen or forgotten badges and/or event tickets Please be
responsible with your Gamehole Con materials. Lost, stolen or forgotten items must
be re-purchased at full cost. It is recommended you check with the Gamehole Con
Registration Desk to see if your materials have been turned in to Lost & Found.
Gamehole Con LLC assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or forgotten materials.
We are not sending anything through the mail. All badges and tickets will be will call.

Special Rules for Children
• Kids 8 and under can enjoy free admission to the convention if they are
accompanied by a badge owning adult. However, kids 8 and under are still
required to buy individual game tickets if they wish to participate in games.
•Kids 12 and under who are merely accompanying a badge owning adult may be present in the convention. However, if these children between the ages of 8 and 12 wish to participate in any convention activities they must register and pay for a badge and must buy individual game tickets to participate in games.
•Kids 13 and over are required to have their own badge in order to attend the convention.
Waiver of Liability
The purchase of a Gamehole Con badge admits one person to all basic
activities and exhibits at Gamehole Con during regularly scheduled hours for
the day(s) it is purchased. Some designated activities may require payment
of a separate, additional fee. In accepting a badge and in consideration for
being admitted to Gamehole Con, the holder consents to being recorded (by
audio and/or visual means) for exhibition and exploitation by any means in all
media, including without limitation the Internet, worldwide in perpetuity. The
badge holder releases Gamehole Con LLC from any liability for loss or damage
to persons or property, infringement of any right, or any other claim or course of
action of any kind; authorizes and permits Gamehole Con LLC and its designees
which includes but is not limited to all sponsors, exhibitors and contractors to
use and authorize the use of his/her name, voice, likeness and all reproductions
thereof by any means and in all media now and hereafter known, including
without limitation the Internet, for all purposes worldwide in perpetuity; and
agrees to comply with all the rules and regulations of the Event. Gamehole
Con LLC reserves the right to deny entry or remove from the Event facilities
any person who in its sole and absolute discretion is behaving or threatening to
behave in a manner which it reasonably considers to be disruptive of the Gamehole Con.

Jim Ward
Event Description: Astronauts and Game Designers
Jim has written all manner of things that he is unusually
proud of--the Dragon Lairds board game, the novel
Hacyon Blithe, Midshipwizard, the My Precious Present
card game; and the RPG supplement Of Gods &
Monsters. He’s worked with a computer company to
produce the Panzer General Board Game. He reads a lot,
he greatly enjoys fencing with a rapier and foil when he
gets the chance.
Currently, he is the Vice President of Eldritch Enterprises
and more importantly a babysitter for grandkids.
David “Zeb” Cook
Event Description: Games - TSR and Life After Planescape
Cook responded to an ad in Dragon magazine for a
game designer position at TSR. After completing the
designer test that the company then used, and writing a
sample module section, Cook became the third full-time
game designer hired by TSR. He later became Senior
Designer. Cook created role-playing games, modules,
family board games, card games, rulebooks, and party
mystery games.
Cook left TSR in 1994 to work in the field of electronic
media. He was the lead designer on City of Villains
computer game for Cryptic Studios. After he left Cryptic,
he joined Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment as the
lead systems designer for the video game Stargate Worlds.
In 2001 he was inducted into the Origins Hall of Fame.

Jeff Easley
Event Description: Fantasy Art Illustrators
Jeff started his career as a professional artist doing freelance work for Warren Publications, including covers
and comic strips for Creepy, Eerie, and Vampirella,
and for Marvel magazines, including covers for Savage
Sword of Conan and Bizarre Adventures.
He went on to do much of the front cover artwork for
the popular series of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
hardback rulebooks of the 1980s and 1990s. Some of his
artwork from the period was featured on the covers of
book such as the AD&D Player’s Handbook, Dungeon
Master Guide, Tome of Magic, the Monstrous
Manual book, and over a dozen Monstrous Compendium
supplements, as well several editions of the basic D&D box.
Chris Perkins
Event Description: D&D Next Seminar
Chris Perkins began his gaming career writing adventures
for Dungeon magazine in the 80s and 90s. He joined
Wizards of the Coast in 1997 as the magazine’s editor and
has been with Wizards ever since. As a design manager
and producer, he has worked on every edition of the D&D
game as well as Star Wars and d20 Modern. He also runs
a weekly D&D campaign, has authored a series of web
articles called The Dungeon Master Experience, and
DMs a popular series of podcasts and live D&D games
featuring the cast of Acquisitions Incorporated (Mike
Krahulik and Jerry Holkins of Penny Arcade, Scott Kurtz
of PvP and Table Titans, and Wil Wheaton).

Tom Wham
Event Description: Gaming with Tom
Tom Wham is a designer of board games who has
also produced artwork, including that for his own
games. In May 1977 he began working for TSR, Inc.
at its Lake Geneva, Wisconsin headquarters as a general
office worker. In a separate capacity as an independent
contractor, Wham began doing some creative work for
the company, contributing a handful of illustrations
for the original AD&D Monster Manual, including the
creature called the beholder. He also began writing
games for Dragon magazine. These games, printed
on cardstock and included in the centerfold of the
magazine, usually featured artwork supplied by Wham.
Terry Pavlet
Event Description: Fantasy Art Illustrators
Terry Pavlet is an award winning RPG/CCG/Comic
Book Illustrator who has done work for White Wolf,
Wizards of the Coast, Fantasy Flight Games, and
many others... comic work for DC, Image, Disney
... Sketch cards for Unstoppable Cards UK (RPG
Fantasy), Cult Stuff Cards (War of the Worlds) ...
book publishers for Ballentine Books, Baen Books,
and Transfuzion Publishing (Deadworld Sourcebook).
Designing and illustrating MOTU & TNMT action
figures for Astonishing Toys. T-Shirt licensing
properties for Warner Brothers (Looney Tunes),
Lucasfilms (Star Wars), Hanna Barbera (Flintstones,
etc.) and many more. He is a Wisconsin native, lives
with his wife and two daughters.

Event Description: Geek Seekers Screening with Jen Page
Revered sweetheart of the geek world, actress Jen Page is
best known for her roles in gamer, sci-fi and fantasy films,
including The Gamers, The Gamers: Dorkness Rising, and
the newly premiered, eye-popping Project London. Jen is
honored to be on the short list of go-to actresses for indie
geek cinema and, with her many defining contributions to
the genre, it’s now difficult to imagine fantasy and gamerrelated entertainment without her impossibly blue eyes
staring down the blade of a long sword. This year, look
for Jen holding court in the celebrated fantasy web series
JourneyQuest, serving an astrological ass-kicking as a Final
Zodiac Warrior in the comedy web series Chop Socky
Boom, and getting spooky in her own paranormal investigation
web series, Geek Seekers, co-created with Monte Cook.
Ernie Gygax
Event Description: The Roots of Gaming & the Original DM
As the eldest son of Gary Gygax, co-creator of D&D,
Ernie served as one of the very few original play testers
for Chainmail and Dungeons and Dragons. Ernie’s
many famous characters have become the stuff of D&D,
AD&D, and Greyhawk legend. Who out there in D&D
fandom does not know the name Tenser? Or Serten? Or
Erac’s Cousin from the Rogues Gallery? Ernie played
in Dave Arneson’s original Blackmoor Castle adventure
accompanied by Gary Gygax, and Terry and Rob Kuntz.
This Chainmail-variant game would lay the conceptual
groundwork for a new game to be written by Gary Gygax
in 1972. This new game would combine the considerable
fantasy and medieval content of Chainmail with Dave
Arneson’s concept of dungeon adventures to create an
entirely new and dynamic game we now know as Dungeons
& Dragons. Ernie has a wonderful dog named Rubeeka.

Event Description: Ask the Bastard!
Since 2011, Bill Cavalier the Dungeon Bastard has
coached thousands of gamers to game harder. From
picking a character race (nothing shorter than a dwarf!) to
choosing the best weapon to behead orcs (Any Weapon!)
the Dungeon Bastard has used his series of inspirational
videos to help geeks take their game to the next level.

Frank Mentzer
Event Description: TSR with Gary 1980 - 1985
Frank Mentzer is an author and game designer best
known for his work on early materials for the Dungeons
& Dragons fantasy role-playing game. He was an
employee of TSR, Inc. from 1980-1986, part of that
time as Creative Advisor to the Chairman of the Board,
Gary Gygax. He also founded the Role-Playing Games
Association during his time with TSR. After Gygax was
ousted from TSR at the end of 1985, Mentzer left TSR as
well and helped Gygax to start New Infinities Productions
Inc. When this venture failed, Mentzer left the gaming
industry, eventually becoming the manager of a bakery.
In 2008, he closed down this business, and two years
later, announced he was returning to the gaming industry
as a founding partner of a new publishing company,
Eldritch Enterprises.
