** SEE YOU ALL NEXT OCTOBER (OR AT A SUMMER FESTIVAL) ** FROM OUR PRESIDENT…. Dear Habot Bluegrass Family, We had several brave kids for our showcase of young talent and they did such a wonderful job. This takes a lot of courage and I am always impressed by them. They are so special. We have come to the end of another Habot year and what a year it has been. We've had really good shows with great bands and great music, as well sad times with the loss of some dear friends. We will miss them a lot. I always look forward to the excitement that summer brings with vacations, bluegrass festivals, and spending time with loved ones and friends, however we will miss you all. I hope you will be taking in a festival or something like it. Don't forget the ANTIQUE CAR, TRACTOR & ENGINE SHOW ON JUNE 16-‐‑17-‐‑18-‐‑19 in Lathrop and then Marty Raybon at the Wornall Road Baptist Church on June 19. It would take too much space in the newsletter to tell everyone how much they are appreciated by the club. You know this club would not be here without your support....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! And of course I would not be able to do any of this without the board. Each one does such a great job each month. These guys are the BEST. We all do it for the love of the music and we hope it will keep going a long time. This is a talented group. I hope you have a fun, safe summer. I am looking forward to seeing you all in October. Love, Mary PRAYER LIST…. Please keep our bluegrass family in prayer for safe travel over the summer. Also pray for Sue Downs, Jim Downs, Louise Wood, Lance Boodro, Jan Cook, Tim Landreth, Rob Collins, Mike Collins. APRIL MEMORIES… Thank you to Best of Friends, Bill Graham and Sandi McClary , and all of our special guests for a wonderful show last month. Our special youth guests included Paul Harrison, Karynn Pendroy, Hayden Speaks, Isabella Gallagher, Gabriella Ogden, Hailey McDowell, Kenzie Cousins, Emma McGregor, and Allison Swetnam. The prizes from membership drawings went to Kenneth Zeller, Jean Bartee, John Mount, Carl Ferguson, Ellie Hayden, and Ed Essig. What’s in the Box was won by Janet Lovell, a patriotic picture and basket of candle, terry cloth, and cds. DON’T MISS… Marty Raybon will be on the radio with Buster Roper 102.7 FM; 1550 AM on Sunday June 5 at 11 a.m. . HEART OF AMERICA BLUEGRASS AND
