Case study Results: More User Interactions, More Leads and More Awards Since the AgendiZe offers a unified reporting platform, YPG was able to track real-time results and leads across more than 100+ different channels simultaneously to prove the results for themselves and their advertisers. Today, millions of consumers have used YPG’s new Save and Share, and Contact Widget functionalities to help get in touch with local businesses and advertisers. Over the past six months, YPG has reported a growing monthly average of more than 340,000 user interactions and leads generated by AgendiZe tools. In 2007, Yellow Pages Association awarded YPG with the Silver Award for Marketing Innovation (Electronic Products) for their new Save & Share functionality and integration with Facebook, powered by the AgendiZe Engagement Platform. Constant Evolution From Start to Finish Since YPG is a Canada’s largest yellow pages, with more than 6.5 million uniques and hundreds of thousands of local business listings, they wanted to find a technology platform that was both scalable and easy to integrate. And because they are known for constant innovation in their industry, they also wanted to find a business partner who could adapt consistently to meet their different needs. “It was really important for us to find a technology platform that could not only scale, but also adapt to meet our constantly evolving needs. With AgendiZe, we found a long-term partner that could continue to adapt and innovate alongside us. It was a pleasure to find that their platform could adapt in just a matter of days to deploy these projects, once we’ve decided exactly what we wanted to do, and that it offers such a complete and customizable set of engagement services all in one place,” said Mr. Lion. “We’re pleased with the consistent, longterm results that AgendiZe has helped us achieve, and how easy it’s been to track our results from different channels all from a single dashboard. More and more consumers and advertisers are now using our new functionality to connect with each other on our directory sites, which at the end of the day is the very core of what we do,” said Mr. Lion. Realizing that consumers’ lives are getting more and more distributed and on-the-go, YPG knew they had to make their content available beyond just their print guides and directory website. YPG also wanted to offer local businesses and advertisers the opportunity to republish their listings on their own small business websites. Furthermore, YPG needed to know where their content was going and track any new leads they generated for advertisers. The needs were apparent, but the questions appeared daunting at first. How could they make it easier for users to engage in conversations with advertisers and local businesses on the phone, from their address book, on Facebook, from their calendars and PDAs—and all the many different devices and services modern consumers rely on everyday? How could they make it easy for users to remember and recommend a business, and for local businesses to redistribute their own content? And, most importantly, how could Yellow Pages Group track and prove that these changes would pull in new leads for advertisers? « engagement services all in one place.” Client Since: September 2006 Jean-Pascal Lion, VP Marketing, Yellow Pages Group Canada. Solution #1: Engaging users everywhere at once with Click-to-Save and Share Realizing that consumer attention spans are getting fragmented and split across an increasingly wide array of portable devices and online services, YPG wanted to make it super easy for users to save and share local business information, for themselves or with friends and family, anywhere they like. With the AgendiZe Engagement Platform, YPG found a technology platform that could instantly add a complete suite of user engagement services, including Click-to-Save and Share, which integrates local content with more than 100+ services and devices, including mobile phones (SMS), address books, calendars, social networks and bookmarking, desktops, GPS devices and more. Now users on yellowpages.ca can send local business listings to themselves as a reminder or as research, to colleagues to make décisions or to meet up, and friends to spread the word about something cool they’ve found—all in just a couple of clicks. “Only AgendiZe offers a complete collection of engagement services to help connect our content with users on virtually any online service or mobile device. Since there’s always new services and gadgets that pop up, it’s nice to have a partner that’s constantly working to add new services—focusing on this problem so we don’t have to,” said Jean-Pascal Lion, VP Marketing, Yellow Pages Group Canada. Case study Solution #2: Giving small businesses the edge with Contact Widgets YPG decided to offer tho–usands of local small businesses across Canada an easy way to republish their listings with AgendiZe Contact Widgets. On average more than 50% of users who click through to a local advertiser’s site originate from a YPG-owned directory. Therefore, it was important for YPG to offer its advertisers the power of the Click-to-Save & Share tools for their own local business sites to maximize the conversion of inbound visitors.* AgendiZe worked with YPG designers to create a completely branded and customized, portable version of their listings, Contact Widgets–completely with Save & Share functionality—that any small business could deploy in just a few clicks, with zero programming required. Now any local business on YellowPages.ca can embed their own Contact Widget directly inside of their website, email newsletters or blog to make it easier for customers to find, remember and contact them anytime. Furthermore, since all Contact Widgets are fully branded and customized, YPG was able to extend their brand into small business websites and communications while providing a very useful value-added service for their clients. “It’s important customers can not only quickly find businesses online, but that they can easily contact them in real life or quickly tell their friends about them—in other words, take action,” said Mr. Lion. “AgendiZe Contact Widgets help local businesses complete the last mile in customer engagement by connecting their website or blog with dozens of different social platforms and mobile devices.”
