For large breeds, 11 years is definitely the sunset of their life. Oh how hard it will be when “that” day comes. But for now, I focus on the fact that she’s still with me and I want to make her life enjoyable. One of the ways we add “spice” to our pet’s lives is through spending time with them and sharing everyday moments and experiences. As Houstonians, we are blessed with plenty of open spaces, pet-friendly events, dog parks and retail outlets that give us a chance to get out of the house for an adventure. Houston PetTalk has taken the opportunity to share with you some of the top things to do and places to go for a fun outing with your four-legged companion. We also invite our readers to share other ideas with us for future stories. Help us continue to educate Houston pet owners by sending us your ideas for pet outings to info@ houstonpettalk.com. There are several local events in May that would also be fun to add to your “to do” list with your pet. The Arthritis Features Walk on May 5 and the Lone Star Pet Lodge “Yappy Hour” are great venues to enjoy together. Get Ready! Get Set! Go! A Lesson in Virtuosity... Training.
