are the targets that CAT EYE strives to achieve.
Company History
Feb.1954 : The company was incorporated as Tsuyama Mfg.
Co., Ltd. with capital of ¥500,000.
Nov.1957 : Japan's first reflector was produced and marketed
under the trademark of CAT EYE, with its utility model
registered.
Mar.1967 : The CAT EYE reflector qualified for USA's SAE CHP
standard and won state approval.
Oct.1974 : The CAT EYE reflector passed the new CPSC safety
regulation (USA), and mass production of wide-angled
reflectors based on this standard commenced.
Nov.1978 : The CAT EYE emergency warning reflector for
automobiles was approved by the National Public
Safety Commission in Japan as required by the Road
Traffic Law.
Oct. 1981 : The micro computer-based cyclocomputer "CAT EYE
VELO" was developed, and mass production
commenced.
Jan.1982 : B-20 and B20T one-touch removable battery lamps
were introduced to the market.
May.1986 : The newly constructed Yoshii plant started mass
production of the CAT EYE Ergociser.
Apr.1989 : The company was renamed CAT EYE Co., Ltd. in
recognition of the world market CAT EYE brand name
and its international reputation for reliability.
Jul.1999 : ISO 9001 certification was obtained.
Jul.2002 : CAT EYE (TAICANG) CO., LTD was established and
commenced operation as wholly owned subsidiary in
Jiangsu Province, China.
Nov. 2006 : ISO 13485 certification was obtained.
