Transportation
To get to the CEFET-RJ campus Maracanã there are two public transportation
options. We advise against rental car because it is difficult to get parking spaces
available around our campus. Please read the information about transport next.
BY SUBWAY
Subway is the fastest way of transportation in the city, it is efficient and safe.
We advise the participants to choose to use the subway to get to the Campus.
The 13th IHPST will be held at CEFET-RJ - Campus Maracanã, however the
closest subway station to the event is called “São Cristovão” and not “Maracanã”.
There are two lines in the Rio de Janeiro’s subway . The line 1 is orange, and
line 2 is green. “São Cristóvão” station belongs to line 2 (green).

If you are staying at a hotel in the
districts of Botafogo, Flamengo, Largo
do Machado, Catete or Gloria, just pay
attention on the marquee color over
the doors of the cars.
Once traveling by the green line subway
of Rio de Janeiro, your trip will end in
São Cristóvão Station to get to CEFETRJ.
However, if you are in Copacabana
(Stations: Cardeal Arco Verde, Siqueira
Campos and Cantagalo) or in Ipanema
(Station General Osorio) you must
make one change in Botafogo station
to line 2 (green).
There is no need to validate another
passage, just wait on the same
platform, the next train indicating the
line 2 (green lighted sign).

BUS RIDE
If you are in Ipanema:
The fastest bus to lead you closer to the event is the line 461, the bus stop is
the BRS-2. Which you can catch on Rua Farme de Amoedo between Av. Visconde
de Pirajá.
If you are in Copacabana:
There are two ways of reaching
the bus event. The fastest bus
lines to lead you closer to the
event are:line 462, the bus
stop is the BRS-3 and are both
at Rua Miguel Lemos as in Rua
Bolívar.line 463, the bus stop
is the BRS-3 and are both in
Rua Siqueira Campos as in Rua
Figueiredo Magalhães.

Tijuca National Park official Vans take you straight to the entrance of the Christ
the Redeemer Monument. Choose one of the boarding stations below and travel in
the van with comfort and security. Ticket includes round trip transfer and access
to the monument. Boarding Time: Daily from 8am to 4pm. Where To Buy: Ticket office at the place

from the one of the stages (Copacabana, Largo do Machado).
The van makes no stops between the departure and the arrival in Corcovado.

leg of the cable-car, traveling some 575
meters from Praia Vermelha to a height of

Opened in 1909, Municipal Theater is a major concert hall within Brazil and Latin America. Recently, it underwent an extensive renovation effort, the Municipal
Theater has hosted major international artists and some of the biggest names in
Brazilian culture, including representatives of dance, music, opera and performing
arts. Since the 30s, the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro has had the concern
of maintaining its own artistic staff, and it is today the only Brazilian cultural institution to maintain a choir, a symphony orchestra and a ballet company. Opening hours: Daily, 8am to 5pm.Free admission for children under the age
