Smooth lines and dynamically sculpted
side panels arise from the elegant
chrome front grille. Electrically adjustable
door mirrors have been fitted with
LED turn indicators. Add a pair of sleek
taillights and a shark fin antenna, and
the City is one attractive prospect.
Want to take it to the next level? The City
VTi-L features fog lights, chrome door
handles, electronically retractable door
mirrors, as well as a striking set of 16-inch
alloy wheels. For a more athletic edge add
the optional Sports Pack* which includes a
Modulo designed rear wing spoiler, side skirt

dashboard. The Multi Information
Display (MID) ensures your average
fuel economy, distance to empty and
average speed are easy to access.
It pays to be
street smart.
To help you stay in control, buttons for
audio, cruise control and connected
Bluetooth® devices° are mounted on the
steering wheel, while your central 7-inch
touch-activated colour screen takes care of
the rest. There you’ll find the multi-angle
reversing camera display, your music

clever Multi Information Display. At just the touch
of a button view outside temperature, average and
instant fuel consumption, trip meter, distance to
empty and more.
The battle with your smartphone battery is
officially over. With a clever onboard power outlet,
the City lets you charge any device on the go –
you’ll find one in the VTi model and three in the
VTi-L model.
When escaping from the hustle and bustle of
the city give yourself a break by locking in your
perfect cruising speed and the City will do the
rest. Not only will it make your trip a breeze,
it will optimise your fuel economy.

When it comes to storage space, you’ll be amazed
at what the City is capable of. There’s clever
storage everywhere you look, whether it’s the
perfect spot to place your latte or your mobile
phone, everything has been thought of in advance.
When it comes to boot space the City has it in
spades. Its class-leading~ boot space of 536 litres
gives you enough room to go on a shopping spree.
As if there wasn’t enough space already the
cleverly designed 60:40 split-fold rear seats allow
you to fit more in while still leaving plenty of room
for rear passengers. With one simple fluid motion
you can split the seats 60:40 to accommodate
cargo of any shape.

designed to adjust to your comfort. A small lever
allows you to tilt the column up or down and move
it closer or further away so the steering wheel is
always in your ideal position.
Surround yourself in crystal clear sound with
the impressive eight-speaker system in the City
VTi-L, which includes four tweeters for improved
sound quality.
Conduct the interior climate from the front seat
using the button-free electrostatic climate control.
With an up or down swipe of the finger over
the panel you can pinpoint your perfect cruising

The City VTi-L knows when you’re approaching.
Leave the key fob safely in your pocket or bag and
the doors will automatically unlock when you touch
a front door handle or boot release button.
With the key fob in range, the City VTi-L comes
to life at the push of a button. Just press your foot
on the brake pedal and hit start. Turning the car off
is just as simple.
In the City VTi-L the adjustable door mirrors are also
electrically retractable, allowing you to fold them
safely out of harm’s way when they’re not in use.

There’s nothing like the perfect tune to complement a beautiful
drive. With a CD player, USB ports and HDMI® port, plus Bluetooth®
audio streaming ,̊ all the City requires of you is to select a song
for the journey. Of course, if you prefer surprises, you can always
tune in to your favourite station with the AM/FM radio.
The Display Audio system makes browsing any audio library a breeze.
With your compatible smartphone or MP3 media device plugged into the
USB port, you can view the song title, artist, and even album art if this
information is available. Scroll through your playlists right there on screen,
or use the steering wheel-mounted controls. The display will even project
mp4 video and photos via HDMI provided your City is in park mode‡.

touchscreen becomes your control centre, allowing you to browse
contacts and call history, as well as stream tunes straight from your
phone’s music library. Talk about being in sync.
The intelligent personal assistant makes a handy addition to the iPhone.
But where Siri really comes into its own is on the road. Just press
the voice command button on the City steering wheel and ask Siri to
call someone on your contacts list, play that song, read and compose
text messages or emails, add a date to your calendar, check what the
weather’s doing, and more. All while your eyes remain on the road.

Engine
Honda’s i-VTEC engines are designed
to deliver strong fuel economy, lively
performance and cleaner emissions.
The 1.5 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine in the
Honda City benefits from Honda’s variable
valve timing system, an innovation that
optimises fuel economy at low revs and
increases power at high revs. Enabling
the engine to deliver 88kW at 6600rpm
while consuming only 5.7 litres of fuel per
100km*. And with this efficiency comes
impressive emissions performance, too.
Transmission
In a busy city
you need a car
that can keep up.
A clever car wouldn’t be complete without
a clever transmission, and the newly
developed Earth Dreams Continuously
Variable Transmission (CVT) is just that.
With innovative G-Design Shift logic,
the CVT is designed to ensure a quick
off-the-line acceleration and a smoother,
more natural driving feel. CVT also
helps the hip-pocket through enhanced
fuel efficiency achieved by always
operating at the optimum RPM level.
The VTi is available with the automatic
CVT or 5-speed manual transmission.
Whilst the VTi-L offers race-inspired
steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters
for a performance-orientated drive.
Eco Assist
Advanced technology is only part of
good fuel economy. The other side of
the equation lies with the person in the
driver’s seat. Imagine a driving coach
that helps you to drive more efficiently.
Eco Assist is a visual training system that
responds to your drive. Brake or accelerate
heavily and the outer ring of the City’s
speedometer glows blue. Keep it smooth
and under control and you’ll be rewarded
with an encouraging green glow.
Chassis
When you look smooth you have to
act smooth, and in this department
the City doesn’t disappoint.
By teaming Electric Power-assisted
Steering (EPS) and a rigid high-tensile steel
body with a low centre of gravity, the City
is just as composed taming tight corners,
as it is tight parking spaces. Add this to a
newly refined suspension system and the
City is smooth and comfortable, absorbing
the shock and vibrations of bumps in the
road so you don’t feel a thing. Say goodbye
to road noise too, thanks to thicker glass
and greater use of high-density materials.
ECON Mode
Every City fitted with automatic
transmission is equipped with ECON
Mode. Simply engage the green button
and your City does exactly what you might
expect by adjusting engine behaviour,
transmission style and air conditioning
functionality to maximise fuel economy.

then dinner and a movie
followed by a late night karaoke
session. Yes, life in the city
can see you jumping from one
occasion to the next. So you

Pedestrian protection
Advanced Compatibility
Engineering (ACE)
The City has been designed with an
innovative body structure, engineered
to absorb and deflect the force of
a frontal collision away from the
passenger compartment, improving
the safety of every occupant.
Speed alarm
Alerts the driver with an audible
and visual warning if a pre-selected
speed is exceeded.
Whiplash mitigating front seats
In the event of a collision, the seatback
springs are optimised so that the seat
will more equally absorb the occupant’s
impact, in a manner that can minimise
the severity of a whiplash injury.
Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
If an emergency situation forces you
to brake heavily, drivers behind you
need as much warning as possible.
Emergency Stop Signal does just that,
automatically flashing the hazard lights
in the event of hard braking to reduce
the chance of a rear-end collision.
Research has proven that sophisticated protection
features, like windscreen wiper pivots that break
away on impact and energy absorbing front guard
mounts, dramatically improve a pedestrian’s
chance of survival if struck. So naturally they
come standard on the City.
Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA)
with Traction Control
This technology helps keep the City on course
in adverse driving conditions by detecting, then
mitigating, potential understeer or oversteer.
When necessary, VSA automatically reduces
engine power and manages brake pressure
to individual wheels to help regain control.
Multi-angle reversing camera
The City comes with a reversing
camera as standard, so you’ll feel just
as safe going backwards as you do
going forwards. With three modes
available (180° wide angle, normal
angle, and top-down) and dynamic
guidelines to plot your projected path,
the outlook is very good indeed.
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and
Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD)
The City comes armed with ABS for superior stopping
power. When emergency braking is detected, Brake
Assist applies maximum braking pressure whilst
EBD monitors and adjusts the brake force applied
to each wheel for greater control and stability.
Airbags
The clever Honda i-SRS driver airbag system
inflates at different rates depending on crash
severity, seatbelt usage and a host of other factors
to keep you safe behind the wheel. Dual front,
side and full-length curtain airbags are standard.
Automatic tensioning seatbelts
Because there’s no cargo more precious
than the people you love, the moment you’re
involved in a collision, the same sensors that
deploy the City’s airbags automatically retract
the front seatbelts. You and your passenger are
instantly pressed back safely into your seats.
Hill Start Assist (HSA)
Hill Start Assist prevents ‘rolling back’
when starting on an incline. The system
controls brake pressure, keeping the car
stationary for a moment as you release
the brake pedal and prepare to accelerate.
