PACKING LIST
Swimsuits should be modest one-piece suits
with no low cut fronts or high cut legs.
Shorts and shirts should cover modestly.
MEDICATIONS
Pack your Kamper’s medications in a ziplock
bag. Then fill out the medication sticker
located in the back of this magazine. Place
the sticker on the outside of the ziplock
bag. Prescription medications must be in a
pharmacy labeled container. All medications
will be lovingly and professionally dispensed
by our staff RN’s. To secure your enrollment,
complete the online KanakukCares
Questions in Parent’s Place by May 1st.

At Kanakuk Colorado
we want each kamper
to feel a home, and be
able to express your
individuality.
We do however ask
that your clothing
choices be modest, so
everyone at kamp can
enjoy this summer.
Leave all valuables at home. You will not
be able to use these at Kamp. Kanakuk
Colorado will not be responsible for lost
jewelry, CD players, mp3 players, Game
Boys, cell phones, or other valuable items.
MUSIC
Tune your ears to the sound
of bird calls and chipmunks
playing and leave your music
at home. All music at Kamp is
positive and uplifting.
BOOKS
Leave books, magazines, and comic books
at home. Suggestive pictures, obscene
or vulgar language are not allowed at
Kanakuk Colorado.
SHOES
Bring white-soled or special non-streaking
shoes for “hoopin’ it up” or “spiking it home”
on our basketball and volleyball courts.
MARK YOUR STUFF
Mark all Kamper clothing, personal
belongings and luggage with Kamper’s name
and Kamp name. (Kanakuk Colorado)
ARRIVAL
Arrive at your Kamp between 2:00
and 5:00 pm. Kamp gates will not
open until 2:00 pm on opening day.

PLEASE WRITE!
Write or e-mail your child often while they
are at Kamp. Sorry, no phone calls or visits
during Kamp. We’ll see you at Closing

Kanakuk Colorado is a tight-knit community trying to reveal the essentials of Jesus. At some
point in your summer, whether it’s going down the tallest Kanakuk zipline, jumping a stump
on a mountain bike, wild white water rafting down the Animas River, or gripping the side of
a mountain, you will have a great time with new friends, in new surroundings, learning how
to love like Jesus loved! With an intense Christian worldview training by Andy Braner, you’ll
be equipped to go back to your world and make a HUGE difference. Kids hear and see that
living the Christian life in light of God’s Word brings strength and purpose.

When you book through GST you
become part of a group, which
allows us to monitor flight delays/
cancellations and gives us the
opportunity to reroute or change flight
plans accordingly. If you book on your
own into ABQ, you run the risk of
a seat not being available on the bus
or a delay/cancellation of your flight
causing you to miss the bus as we will
not be able to hold the bus beyond the
scheduled departure time.

MAKING YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS
(DRO) All incoming and outbound flights must be between the hours of 9
am-9 pm. You must email: [email protected], mail (1353 Lake Shore
Drive, Branson, MO 65616), or fax (417-266-4213) your itinerary two weeks in
advance to acquire shuttle service.
Check-in for each Kamp term begins at 2:00 pm., so in order to minimize wait
time, the ideal time to fly into Durango (DRO) is noon–2:00 pm. The ideal times to fly
out to avoid missing closing activities are after 9:00am. Note: If we receive your itinerary
last minute, your child may experience lengthy delays getting to Kamp.
(ABQ) Special time restriction applies if flying in or out of ABQ. See website or
email [email protected] for details before booking your flight.

SHUTTLE SERVICE:
Airport to Kamp shuttle service is
automatically arranged when you book
with Great Southern Travel. You do
not need to call Kanakuk Kamps for
bus service. GST will notify Kanakuk
Kamps Transportation Department
with your itinerary and bus reservation
information. You will pay GST for your
flight tickets and Kanakuk will bill your
Kamper account for the bus fee.
UNACCOMPANIED MINORS:
Durango Airport only. All airlines have
restrictions and age limits regarding
UNACCOMPANIEDMINORS5-ESCORT
service. When booking your tickets
please provide the age of your child
if you wish (or are required) to
purchase this service. We ask that you
pay for these services in advance for
your child’s return trip home. If you
are booking through GST they can
charge for this service along with your
ticket and they will supply us with the
necessary voucher. For inbound service
list “A Kanakuk Representative” as the
person meeting your child as we cannot
give you a specific name. UMs cannot
fly home on the last flight of the day.
LUGGAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Airlines are getting more and more
restrictive regarding the size and
amount of luggage allowed. We urge
you to check with your airline and
find out what their specific restrictions
are in advance. Go to page 8 for
more specific instructions and size
restrictions for your Kamper’s luggage.

This airport does NOT offer private charter service. This

landing. Kamp shuttle pick up available only 2:00 pm
