our spring catalogue. With the recent purchase of TEAM
Auctioneers of LA Crete, AB and Country Side Auctions of
Hines Creek AB, I would like to take this opportunity to note
our new company’s name “TEAM Auctions”. Along with last
years addition of Brad Wolff of Wolff Auctioneering to our

We continue to expand and I am really excited about this

5o years The Sekura auction family has been in the auction
business for over 55 years. Wendell Sekura went to
auctioneering school in Mason Iowa and graduated in
March 1958. His first job was selling for Hank Charlton
auctions of Brooks, AB before starting his own auction
business selling miscellaneous equipment and farm
sales. Wendell and his wife Helene responded to an
ad in Drayton Valley, AB stating a need for an auction
market. In June 1964 they purchased 40 acres of land
and built an auction barn that opened March 2, 1966.
Helene Sekura ran the office from 1966 to 1991.
Sekura auctions has sold over 5000 auction sales
specializing in real estate consignment equipment and
livestock auctions. Sekura auctions started with a pick
up truck with stock racks as a mobile sound unit and a
four door car for the office.
1966-2016
50 years later, Corey and Lorena Sekura, the second
generation and their children the third generation of
Sekuras (there are a few fourth-generation Sekuras
growing up the only way they can, “at the auction”)
along with all their staff, operate what is now TEAM
Auctions.
With continuous expansion, multiple sound units,
mobile offices, yard sites and operations throughout

David grew up near the oldest town in Alberta, Fort Vermilion.
The mixed farm he grew up on was never shy of work, but he
still took on other jobs. In 1998 he attended auction school then
worked for several auction companies for a few years before
starting his own business in partnership in 2001. In 2009 he
formed Team Auctioneers where he conducted farm, consignment,
and fundraiser auctions throughout the 7 years of business. Last
fall David decided to “team up” with Sekura Auctions to form
Team Auctions.
Isaac Peters
Isaac has lived in the Peace Country most of his life. He has
worked in the sawmill, logging, and agriculture industries for 15+
years. In 2011 he attended auction school and immediately after
fulfilled his childhood dream of owning and operating an auction
company. He started Country Side Auctions which conducted
smaller farm and consignment auctions. In 2015 Isaac decided
