The Lake Area Chamber recently held a ribbon cutting
for Niangua Rustic Furniture. Niangua Rustic Furniture

The Lake Area Chamber recently held a ribbon cutting
for Eyes on Missouri. The fresh new store includes
modern eyeglass displays, updated exam lanes and
contemporary eye care stations to serve patients.

ceremony commemorating the merger of Bednara,
Vanderveld & Co. PC and Eldon H. Becker, Jr, CPA into
the firm of Evers & Company, CPA’s, L.L.C. and the

Tommy and Mandy Weiesnbach relocated to Missouri from Arizona in December of 2000 with their
two children. With over 20 years in the big city we were ready for a change. Raising our children in a
small town has been one of the best decisions we have made! Now that the kid’s are a little older we

Not only have we been working with wood in some capacity for our entire lives, many of us learned

Special Note from Lake Area Chamber Board of
Director—Danna Kahrs
Hello, my name is Danna Kahrs. I am currently the Vice President of the Lake Area Chamber and have been on the Chamber
Board for the past ten years. Serving the Chamber has been a
wonderful experience that I value very much.
I am currently the Chair of the Nominating Committee, which is
active this time of year gathering candidates for the next
Chamber Board elections in September. We have a committee
of three current Board members and two Chamber members that
collect the nominations and provide the paperwork to each
potential candidate for their review and completion. Once the
slate is set, it is brought to the Chamber Board in the August
meeting for final approval and then the ballots are sent to the
general membership for vote. We elect five Board members
each year and the newly elected Board members are announced
at the September Board meeting and then presented to the
general membership at the Fall Dinner.
I have seen the Chamber go
through many changes in the past
ten years, and am very pleased
with the progress we have made.
My husband Pete and daughter
Elizabeth are very supportive of my
role in the Chamber and my
daughter has been a willing
volunteer helping me, over the
years. We have lived in the Lake
area our whole lives, where I have
been the general manager of
Sycamore Creek Golf Club since it
opened eighteen years ago.
