> Career Highlights: Beginning my career at Berkshire United Way,
where I led efforts to promote positive youth development, my
journey has recently led me to Zogics, an ecommerce business.
Recognizing the company’s cutting-edge innovation and
fast-paced growth, I pitched my own job as a data analyst where
I aim to become part of the exciting developments at Zogics!
> Community Involvement: In 2015, I was a mentor for Barrington
Stage’s Playwright Mentoring Project, a program for youth which
allows them to use theatre as an outlet. I serve as a Workplace
Campaign Executive for Berkshire United Way as part of their
current fundraising efforts and am a fundraising agent for
the Williams College Alumni Fund. I am also on the steering
committee and chair of professional development for Berkshire
Young Professionals (BYP).
> Ultimate Career Goal: To build a CDC which merges business
and human services to raise a community of organizations that
better allocate resources, increase efficiency while minimizing
costs, with the ultimate goal of maximizing impact and fostering
regions which prosper.
> Individual You Admire Most: My dad- raised under very poor
circumstances, my father, along with my mother, has taught me
the true meaning of hard work, the importance of an education,
and all that it takes to overcome the struggles we face in life.
> Hidden/Unique Talents: I have a knack for picking up new
languages- I currently speak 4 languages, and can write in a
non-latin alphabet script, Ge’ez. I also imitate accents pretty well,
if I do say so myself- my American accent is impeccable!

person is my savvy business partner, wise adviser, and great friend
of 5 years, Nataly Garzon- since freshman year in Williamstown,
she has been the source of my inspiration!

engineering and now have sixteen years of experience.
I am a licensed Mass. Building Inspector and Commissioner.
I am currently a registered Professional Engineer in Mass.,
Connecticut, Vermont and New York. I am partner at edm
Services and own and operate MAX Engineering and
Design.

> Career Highlights: I really loved working at Everyday Health Inc, based on out NYC,
but with a North Adams office. I felt that working there I learned so much about website
development, popular diets and working for a larger organization with such a wonderful
team. I also loved interning at Berkshire Creative for Julia Dixon and being introduced to
both 1Berkshire and Berkshire Young Professionals. The work at Berkshire South Regional
Community Center feels the most rewarding. I am working with one of the Berkshires best
non-profit resources and helping bring awareness of all the amazing programs they offer to
the Southern Berkshire population.
> Community Involvement: I am lucky to have taken on the role of the Chair of the
Marketing Subcommittee for Berkshire Young Professionals as well as serving on the
Steering Committee, a Berkshire Chamber of Commerce program. I am also part of the
Berkshire Community College Alumni association and their marketing committee and the
Communications Lead for Friends of Saint Mary’s, an ad hoc committee started to save and
find a buyer to repurpose for the former Saint Mary’s the Morning Star church on Tyler Street.
And for a time, I was hiking the Sonsini Shelter dogs, something I would like to get back into
the habit of doing again.
> Ultimate Career Goal: I would like my career to continue in a field and for an organization
that I know that has the same goals and values that I hold close. I want an organization
where the common good and volunteerism is valued and where the thoughts and skills of
all employees are valued. I also hope that someday I can take my writing skills and publish

> Individual You Admire Most: I know it sounds cliche, but there are so many members of
our Berkshire Community that I admire. They are so many leaders, all with different titles
and roles that are out there trying to motivate others towards continuous progress of the
Berkshires. I admire anyone who is willing to stand up for those individuals and groups that
are oppressed. It takes courage to change a norm. That is what I can admire in many
individuals.
> Hidden/Unique Talents: I feel like I can find the humor in almost every situation. Sometimes
I believe that I am an animal whisperer. I feel the good energy from them and vice versa. I
am also really flexible, which helps with my yoga practice.

I feel the most alive on the Thunderbolt trail on Mount Greylock and I love the diversity of

Work hard to keep Diplacon growing. I would like to lead a bigger

estate business. I recently started to invest in properties around
Pittsfield.

in the field. I work to recruit nursing candidates, and
function as a resource and advocate for BHS staff.
I was selected as an Employee Leadership Initiative

Project Lead/Trainer during our HRIS launches.

for the development of a band/orchestra program at
Reid Middle School, which has proven to be an incredibly

County organizations that serve physically and developmentally disabled clients.

He spoke out about his struggles with depression, at a time
when mental illness was much stigmatized, and became a
champion for those who struggled with the disease.

My favorite thing is flipping a coin on a Saturday afternoon
to decide whether to head North or South, knowing there’s
something to do, and good food to be had, in either direction.
