WINNAPAUG COTTAGES NEWSLETTER May Issue 13 1841 Winnapaug Cottages Newsletter May 2016 TO KEEP YOU INFORMED SOCIAL EVENTS Welcome Back Snow Birds! The Social Committee is issuing the second Winnapaug Cottages club/event interest survey to determine an updated view of resident’s choice of communal events. The first survey was issued November 2014 and resulted in several, now well established, interest groups. The interim time has allowed the groups to determine a description of its parameters and thus it is now time to ask residents to review the updated list of offerings. Several groups are in need of an organizer. An expertise in the subject matter or sport is not required, just a desire to explore. Our impetus has focused on ways to instill a sense of camaraderie in the community and provide an avenue to pursue an active adult style. Join us on the Cliff Walk followed by lunch at a local restaurant. See this newsletter for details. Additionally, we are in the process of forming several new clubs – Movie Discussion group, Beginners Bridge and Genealogy. Several existing clubs are starting up again with the warmer weather approaching such as the Golf and the Tennis Clubs. See this newsletter for details. If you have a talent that you wish to share please let us know. This community is fortunate to have multitalented residents and we urge you to share your knowledge. This is an open invitation to all residents to consider serving as chair or co-chair in forming a new club from the above list or other activity where you have interest. If you have an interest, please contact Joan Stanley. The Social Committee will help by serving as an overarching administrative body that will assist in organizing clubs.
