The finished hides are carefully hung on “horses” rather than stored in tubes to prevent wrinkles and creases from forming. Garrett Leather’s superior, extra large hides provide higher cutting yields with minimal waste. Selection Half hide orders are accepted without imposing any additional cutting fees. S Half Hide Minimums Over two million square feet of upholstery leather and a variety of specialty products are available in over 600 colors. Fiberdye® Color Convenience Garrett Leather’s exclusive Fiberdye® is the dyeing process that results in true color permanence. Flight has a smooth, matte surface and durable, anti-bacterial, and water resistant finish. It is treated during the tanning process to meet strict aviation flammability requirements, including FAR standards, as well as the 60-second vertical burn test. While ideal for aviation, Flight’s gorgeous appeal and exceptional durability expands across multiple applications, including high-traffic hospitality, corporate, and residential settings. Garrett Glazed® is semi-aniline, full grain leather. The hides are milled in heated drums then ironed using a special process that imparts a smooth surface and very fine grain. The beautiful mottled appearance highlights the style of this classic leather. The spill resistant, high gloss finish makes Glazed a durable option for high traffic areas. Kenya is Garrett Leather’s shrunken nubuck. Made from the desirable top layer of the hide, Kenya is not to be confused with a true suede, which is made from the less desirable split (lower layers of the hide). Kenya offers a higher cutting yield, making it an excellent alternative to smaller split suede. Light surface protection is applied. Kenya is recommended for low to moderate traffic areas. Luxianna ® Luxianna® is full grain European bullhide, providing more density and a stronger fiber structure than cowhide. Each hide is vacuum dried to produce a tight grain and heat rolled to create an elegantly smooth surface. A light, organic finish is applied, allowing the product to wear into a beautiful, vintage look. Luxianna® is recommended for low to moderate traffic areas, as signs of wear will appear with use. Mystique ® Mystique® is created using sizable European bullhide, providing more density and a stronger fiber structure than cowhide. A laborintensive process called “hand-tipping” is used to apply a darker “tipped” color onto a lighter tone hide. This unique two-tone effect will show variations in shading from hide to hide and even within a hide. Mystique® offers excellent durability and resistance to wear. 800.342.7738 G w w w. g a r r e t t l e a t h e r. c o m Premium European bullhides are used in the creation of Mystique Croco®. These large, strong hides are embossed with a crocodile pattern prior to the hand-tipping process. Mystique Croco® is available in both whole and half hide sizes and is suitable for all upholstery applications. Native is naked aniline, full grain, Italian leather. Native hides are hand-buffed to create a mottled appearance and matte surface. It has gorgeous depth of color and a rugged texture that is reminiscent of the past. While signs of wear will appear with use, Native is recommended for most upholstery applications, as it will age beautifully and develop a rich patina over time. Garrett Newport Club® is produced using premium selection bullhide. These full grain hides are mineral tanned to create softness, then re-tanned using vegetable tannins, resulting in wellrounded leather with a beautiful natural grain. Additional dyes are hand-padded into the surface to create deep, rich colors and a gorgeous subtle sheen. Newport Club is a luxurious option for all upholstery applications. Pearlessence ® Pearlessence® is full grain, semi-aniline Italian leather with a beautiful luster. A specially formulated finish with a pearl additive gives the hides the metallic and pearl appearance. This combination pearl finish provides durability and increased water resistance. Pearlessence® is recommended for all upholstery applications. Shagarrett Shagarrett is Italian leather featuring a beautiful two-tone texture. These full sized European cowhides are embossed with a stingray pattern, with no unsightly plate lines. The dual tone appearance is achieved with “reverse tipping,” where the darker color appears in the valleys of the pattern rather than on the tips. Shagarrett is suitable for all upholstery applications. w w w. g a r r e t t l e a t h e r. c o m 800.342.7738 P R O D U C T G Sierra Garrett Sierra® is the ultimate in full grain, Italian aniline leather. Sierra represents leather in its purest form, with very little surface protection. These extremely supple hides have a soft hand and a subtle sheen. A rich patina will develop over time. Sierra is recommended for most upholstery applications. U I D E Capelli Garrett Leather offers three categories of Capelli: natural, stenciled and specialty. Unlike other leather products, the hair is not removed from the hides during the tanning process. These hides are used for rugs, wall hangings, and upholstery. Natural Capelli Natural represent genuine cowhide and are not dyed. Each hide will have varying color patterns, as no two are exactly alike. The texture, color, and pattern of the hair will be different from hide to hide. Torino Torino is semi-aniline leather produced from European cowhide. Torino has a rich hand and a welcoming texture. These full-bodied Italian cowhides have a uniform, pronounced pebble grain that provides consistency, durability, and superior cutting yields. Torino has a waterproof finish and is recommended for all upholstery applications. Specialty Stenciled Vintage Capelli Stenciled include tiger, leopard, and zebra. These stenciled patterns are all printed on cowhide. All Capelli Natural and Capelli Stenciled are sold in whole hides only and average 35 square feet. Capelli Specialty are created using a variety of different finishing techniques including embossing, metallic prints, rolling, and laser cutting. Wovens Garrett Vintage® is full grain, pure aniline, Italian leather. Oils and waxes are used to create a “worn” look and light “pull-up” effect. Additional dyes are hand-padded on the surface to add a beautiful mottled effect and to add depth to the final appearance. Natural marks and variations in each hide represent the true character of leather. Heat and pressure are used to create the final gorgeous sheen. Garrett Wovens® are created using full grain European cowhide. Garrett Wovens® are 100% vegetable tanned, providing firm leather that gives the weave a structural integrity that is not possible with standard, soft upholstery leather. Hand staining with transparent dyes gives the leather a depth of color that is unattainable with typical semi-aniline leather finishes. The leather is then cut into strips, which are edge dyed with a darker color to define and accentuate the final patterns. Sheepskin The strips are weaved into various patterns, including all leather or leather and fabric combinations. Each pattern is backed with cotton fabric for extra stability. Over time, these products will age gracefully and develop a rich patina. Sheepskin is used primarily for pilot seats in aircraft, automotive seats, and as throw rugs in finer residences. The fleece on Garrett Leather’s standard Sheepskin is straight, also called ironed, unclipped, with a length of approximately ¾”. Many colors are available in natural curly fleece as well. Sheepskin average nine square feet. All Garrett Wovens® are sold in half-yard increments on a 54” wide roll, providing for the industry’s widest cutting allowance for applications such as wall coverings. Tubular Wovens Garrett Tubular Wovens® are produced from full grain Italian cowhide. The leather is weaved together into a tube shaped roll, without any seams. Garrett Tubular Wovens® simply slide over any tube shaped fixture such as curtain rods, bedposts, lampposts, door pulls, or hand railings. Garrett Tubular Wovens® are sold in half-yard increments with a one-yard minimum. Three sizes are available; small has an inside diameter of 1”, medium has an inside diameter of 1 3⁄8”, and large has an inside diameter of 1 7⁄8”. 8 0 0 . 3 4 2 . 7 7 3 8 w w w. g a r r e t t l e a t h e r. c o m w w w. g a r r e t t l e a t h e r. c o m 800.342.7738 P R O D U C T G U I D E Welt Cord Wall Panels and Wall Tiles Braided Welt is made from the same full grain, hand-stained leather as Garrett Wovens®.
