balustrade/pool fence
This substantial, modern new home features expansive
use of glass for balustrading and pool fencing. The upper
balustrade incorporates slim profile stainless steel posts
which correspond with the handrail, and the glass is
supported in channel top and bottom (the top channel is
concealed directly beneath the handrail).
The pool fence encloses the pool on all four sides including 2
pool gates. Using our Eurocast™ system the glazing channel
is cast in situ directly into the concrete and makes the glass
fencing appear flush with the tiling, creating a completely
frameless appearance. This installation method requires a
minimum concrete depth of 100mm.

wine cellar doors
Our suspended “Point Fix” sliding system uses stainless steel
components combining architectural styling with heavy duty
functionality.
The distinctive design of this sliding system is eye-catching
and in this project two sets of sliding doors are used to
enclose a wine cellar, including a glass transom above the
doors. The cellar is divided into two sections combining a
chilled zone in the rear with a warmer temperature controlled
area in the front compartment.

glass internal doors
To cultivate a Japanese feel with a contemporary twist, the
owners of this complete home renovation enlisted Euroglass
to install internal glass doors throughout. Every door is ceiling
height and this bedroom entrance door uses 12mm Etchlite
glass - a float glass one side of which has been treated with
acid to produce a fine grain, satiny finish which results in light
filtering properties that provides softer silhouettes. Other
doors for cupboards and a dressing room are frosted (80%
frost/20% white) which gives a more opaque look when there
is a requirement to completely conceal what is inside.
Doors feature our fully-adjustable door rail system with satin
stainless cover plates, floor springs for self-closing and a
top pivot block and the owners selected our Marsh Square
handles also in a satin finish, enabling co-ordination with the
silver architraves and joinery.
faceted balustrade
Our 50mm Euroanchor™ round bolt on fittings are used as
the glass supports for this upper level rear balcony. A double
row of fixings are used for each of the 1000mm glass panels.
These are bolted on from the outside which means no fixings
are visible from the internal outlook.
As a variation to a standard rectangular balcony shape, this
balustrade has been angle faceted to enclose the curved tiled
deck, adding more interest to the external fascade.
internal balustrade
This Richard Priest designed home features a double height
glass balustrade with the single glass panel supported by
channel on the bottom flight of timber stairs and our round
Euroanchors™ bolt-fix the glass onto the second level
stringer. Our custom manufactured stainless handrail with
stock brackets continues the “one-piece” flow with the wraparound on the landing level.
The resulting look is very stylish and as well, the full height
glass facilitates a partition from the lower level.

euroglass expansion
In another positive expansion move, Euroglass has bought
Euroglass Bay of Plenty in Mt Maunganui, previously our
Licensee. This increases our coverage and presence in
the high growth Bay of Plenty area and gives us another
base from which we can provide metal and stainless steel
manufacturing facilities.
Bill Neisham the previous owner of the company has taken
on the role of National Operations Manager for Euroglass.
He brings with him enormous experience within the industry
and particularly in the fabrication and installation of stainless
products and we are thrilled to have Bill in the Euroglass team.
An example of Bill’s expertise is this beach house balustrading
project at Cooks Beach in the Coromandel, which included
80 metres of glass & steel balustrade and 40metres of
cantillevered glass balustrade.
contemporary posts
This external balcony balustrade features posts with an
industrial styling which have been finished in a charcoal colour
and are architect-designed by Gerrad Hall. The frameless
glass panels are simply bolted onto the posts and the look
was continued through into the internal balustrading.
Our Metal Design team are available for any custom making
of balustrade posts, from concept and design through to
manufacture and install.
bathroom splashback
This ensuite bathroom is built within the sloping roof line
which put some limitations on the positioning of the shower.
As both a design feature and waterproofing objective, the
angled ceiling has been covered with panels of colourbacked glass which is a current bathroom design trend. This
contains any water that may spray from the shower at one
end of the bathroom and the bath at the other, ensuring that
the wet areas are watertight.
The back-painted colour of the glass, Resene ‘Alabaster’,
blends in with the white tiled walls almost seamlessly and
gives a more expansive appearance to the bathroom. The
density of the glass and the angle of the ceiling refracts the
light, making the bathroom appear lighter and brighter.

satin anodised anchors
We now stock aluminium Euroanchor™ stand off fixings in
a satin anodised finish as an alternative to stainless steel.
Available in 38mm and 50mm diameters and marine grade
anodised to over 20µm, they are suitable for internal and
external applications and able to be fixed to concrete, steel or
timber.
The satin anodised finish is a complementary look with
modern aluminium joinery.
mirror design
This mirror was custom designed to the client’s specifications
and features a 20mm bevel edge and cutouts for the lights
which are fitted directly onto the mirror glass. It includes
an electric demist pad fitted behind the mirror to prevent
moisture condensation, leaving a clear mist-free surface.
Every mirror we make is custom made to suit individual
requirements and styling.
