Two master attorneys (based on historical figures William Jennings Bryan and Clarence Darrow) square off in the courtroom while the teacher's fate hangs in the balance. We sold over 70% of the house and everyone was talking about it throughout the Lima area. Sunday, July 26, was a sold out show. Children enjoyed the familiar characters from the show, “Shrek”. Adults enjoyed the wonderful dancers and singers. Over 40 in the cast and everyone seemed to add a magical sparkle to the show. Encore sold Shrek ears which was a big attraction and it added funds to our Capital Improvement Fund. Thanks to all the performers and crew that helped to make this a big success for Encore Theatre. Pictured here is Shrek by Doug Norton, Fiona by Karin Dorsey, Farquad by Myles Fullenkamp and the Bishop by Mike Gegel ON GOLDEN POND, BY ERNEST THOMPSON PRESENTED BY NOTFA ON AUGUST 7-8-9, 2015 This heartwarming play focuses on aging couple Ethel and Norman Thayer, who spend each summer at their home on a lake called Golden Pond. Thanks to NOTFA and the cast of this show for donating their time and talent to raise money for our Capital Improvement Fund. 843 attended the show for 45.07% of the house. Also a special thanks to those who helped sponsor the pre-show refreshments. Everyone enjoyed this addition and would like to try similar events. Box 5276 991 North Shore Drive Lima OH 45801 Capital Improvement Fund Drive: Our members, patrons and community supporters have been very generous helping to support the Capital Improvement Fund Drive. We now have over $42,000 saved toward our goal. The immediate plans require $50,000 to replace the boiler. Future plans are designed to update the sound system at about $20,000 and the lighting system at about $20,000. The lift that we use on the stage to build the set and position lighting had major repairs. There are current plans to install air conditioning in the front lobby at a cost of $3,200.00. Thanks for your support.
