5.Now open Safari to start browsing the internet (fig. o) - you should see the wifi icon to show you are connected to a wifi network. Safari will then prompt you with a username and password screen (fig. n) – enter the details into this screen as provided on the RamsayWireless access card. (iPad - fig. o) (iPhone - fig. o) 6.Tap Go once you have entered the username / password (fig. p) and you will be able to start browsing the internet. How to get online… 6.Enter the logon details as provided on the WiFi@Ramsay Access Card (password is case sensitive). 7.Click on the Go button to proceed to the internet. 1. Windows 8 Windows Vista & Windows 7 1. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on. (This varies on different devices). 1. Go to Start, Control Panel then Network and Sharing Center. Go to Manage Wireless Networks on the left of the screen. 2.Click on the Desktop tile. In the bottom right hand corner click on the wireless network icon (fig. a). You will then see the list of available networks. (if Wi-Fi is turned on.) (fig. b). Click on Patient. In the Window that appears you will need to type in the WPA Key which is ramsaypatient (fig. c) 3.Open Internet explorer, once open you should get the below page. If the below page does not appear just try to go to any website and it should pop up. (fig. d) Enter your username and password as on your card, press go>> n the next page click Continue as on picture O below (fig. d). Once you click continue you will get your home page and will be connected. 2. Make sure Patient is positioned on the top of the list by moving it up if needed (fig. f). If no wireless networks are displayed, ensure your wireless switch is on. Close the Manage Wireless Networks screen. 3. Go to Manage Network Connections (Vista) or Change Adaptor Settings (Win 7) on the Network and Sharing Center page. Rightclick on Wireless Network Connection and click on Properties, click Continue if displayed. Highlight the Internet Protocol Version 4 option (fig. g) and click on Properties. 4. Select Obtain an lP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically as (fig. h). Then select OK. Windows Vista 5. Lastly, to configure Microsoft© Internet Explorer, open your web browser and go to Tools. Select Internet Options and the tab Connections. Under LAN settings, open the window for Local Area Network (LAN) settings. iPhone / iPad connectivity to Ramsaywireless 1.Open the Settings icon (fig. k). 2.Tap on the Wi-Fi icon (fig. l). (fig. k) Ensure the following options are NOT selected. • Automatically detect settings • Use automatic configuration script • Use a proxy server for your LAN Then select OK. If you have had to change any settings during this configuration process, please restart your laptop. 6. Open another browser window. The WiFi@Ramsay landing page should now appear. Mac Users Mac OSX Operating System 1.Click on the AirPort icons in the toolbar and select Turn AirPort On. (fig. a) 2.Select Patient from the list of available wireless networks (fig. i). 3.Enter the Password details when prompted and then click Join. The password is ramsaypatient. 4.Open your internet browser and you will reach the WiFi@Ramsay landing page (fig. j).
