MOUNT PLEASANT AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT Vikings News DECEMBER 2015 SERVICE WITH A SMILE The Junior/Senior High participated in a Pennies for Patients fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All of the money collected went to finding a cure for blood cancer patients. While the students took part by donating their spare change during lunches, Mr. Gumbita took it to a whole new level by doing “Chores for Charity”. For a small donation, students could have their lunch trays emptied by Mr. Gumbita. As seen here, he provided this service with a smile!! Westmoreland County Common Pleas Judge, Michele Bononi, swore in members of the newly formed Mount Pleasant branch of the Westmoreland County Youth Commission.
