During the summer months, the park - which was the premiere site of the XV Olympic Winter Games in Calgary - is alive with zipliners, summer campers and mountain bikers. Remember that part about the zipline? COP has North America’s fastest! This is also the spot for canyon helicopter tours and many hiking trails. If you can, aim for a visit at sunrise because the view can be spectacular. • 2: The number of coulees that flow into the Kneehill Creek. • Each of the canyon’s two arms are approximately 5 kilometers long. • 17 kilometers: Distance from Drumheller. The unique theatrical production is first and foremost a grandiose three dimensional show where spectators are taken to a live Hollywood-style movie set while the touching interactions between human and horse are at the heart of the action. • 110: The number of semi trucks required to transport the show from city to city. • There are 67 horses - 11 different breeds in the show. • 48 artists make up the show (dancers, acrobatics, aerialists, riders and musicians). • Approximately 10,000 tons of rock, earth and sand are trucked in and then sculpted to create the hill that makes up the back of the stage.
