JOBUPDATES NEW YORK CITY FREEDOM TOWER “The Return of The Kangaroo Cranes” The New York City Freedom Tower will stand 1,776 feet tall on the site of the former World Trade Center. Construction on the tower, which will have a cubic base, is slated be ready for occupancy by 2010. Early estimates are that the tower will cost USD2.88 billion to build. On site are currently 2 units of high speed diesel driven Favelle Favco M760’s. The cranes will be capable of lifting a maximum of 64 tonnes and a maximum speed of 120m/ min. The machine will have a powerpack pushing 525HP. We are proud to return the “Kangaroo cranes” back to the former World Trade Centre site and be involved with the rebuilding of this beacon of freedom.
