Procedure : Manually uninstalling and cleaning up TI-NSpire installations on Windows and MAC 1. Procedure Windows 2000 and Windows XP - Uninstall the TI-NSpire software using either the uninstall option in the [TI Tools / <software flavor>] application menu or the uninstall option in the Control Panel - Make sure the user can see hidden files and folders because we’re going to have him traverse through the Application Data folder which is a hidden folder. If the user were to type in the path manually, he does not need to change this setting. To open the Folder Options menu, launch the Windows Explorer and select “Folder Options…” from the Tools menu. - Manually delete the following folders o <hard disk>\Program Files\TI Education\<software flavor> This is the application folder which is not removed completely when uninstalling the software o <hard disk>\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\<software flavor> This is the license and configuration folder which was not automatically removed during the uninstall procedure o <hard disk>\Documents and Settings\<your user>\Application Data\Texas Instruments\<software flavor> This contains the log-folders and other app related data 2. Procedure Windows Vista and Windows 7 - Uninstall the TI-NSpire software using either the uninstall option in the [TI Tools / <software flavor>] application menu or the uninstall option in the Control Panel - Make sure the user can see hidden files and folders because we’re going to have him traverse through the ProgramData folder which is a hidden folder. If the user were to type in the path manually, he does not need to change this setting. To open the Folder Options menu, launch the Windows Explorer and select “Folder Options…” from the Tools menu. If the user cannot see the menu on the Vista or Win7 explorer, have him press ALT once and then Arrow Down to show the menu. - Manually delete the following folders o <hard disk>\Program Files\TI Education\<software flavor> This is the application folder which is not removed completely when uninstalling the software o <hard disk>\ProgramData\<software flavor> This is the license and configuration folder which was not automatically removed during the uninstall procedure o %APPDATA%\Roaming\Texas Instruments\<software flavor> This contains the log-folders and other app related data 3. Procedure for MAC 10.x - Uninstall the TI-NSpire software by dragging and dropping it from the “Applications” window to the Trash Can - Unlike Windows, you don’t have to show hidden files/folders and do the remaining cleanup - Manually delete the following folders (see the images on the next page) o <hard disk>\Library\Application Support\<software flavor> This is the license and configuration folder which was not automatically removed during the uninstall procedure o <your user>\Library\Preferences\Texas Instruments\<software flavor> This contains the log-folders and other app related data
